How high does beer rank in your life?

tastes good and can compliment your food

 

Music used to be my main focus but, in the past three years that I haven't been in a band and I've moved away from home, beer has mostly taken its place...oh yeah, and I have a girlfriend. But she'll probably dump my ass soon if I keep gaining weight. I guess I need to get my priorities straight.

 

That's an excellent way to look at it. Although my biggest time-sucking hobby is homebrewing (which apparently takes about as much time and money as a round of golf).

Obviously wife and work come first. But they're not hobbies. But sometimes I'll try really hard to convince my wife that doing a beer-centric activity would be way more fun...sometimes I win. Sometimes she gets mad.

So on the spectrum of hobbies, beer is pretty high, but so's staying in shape. So I don't know how to slice it. Staying in shape is more important to me than beer, but I spend vastly more time drinking, making and thinking about beer than I do at the gym. But I still get up at 6 AM to go to the gym. I prefer beer to running and lifting, but on the whole, not getting fat is more important but way less fun. It's not a linear spectrum.

#2. Beer....being I only have limited time n so it makes it pretty high priority. I dont let it interupt important things tho

#4. My job (dont like it very much...i just show up n do my job n leave. No stress at all)

Gym Beer Football

 

I guess I'm fortunate enough to make my living in the beer world. So, it does rank pretty damn high on my scale of importances. Beer, snowboarding, mountain biking, music, and my lady friend all take the #2 spot depending on the time of year- behind my family. I suppose I'm even more fortunate that beer (if need be) can be well incorporated and intertwined with all of my other ranked important things....that thought alone makes me want to drink a beer in appreciation of that revelation.

 

Family, God, Country, beer, coffee, history, fried chicken, New York Yankees- in that order.

 

Higher than TV but lower than sex

Winter comes around accompanied by my beer hobby in full effect, but once spring and summer hit my beer obsession subsides. Football and great beer, c'mon....

I would imagine blow jobs would rank higher than number 3.

 

Running, Lifting, Snowboarding, Baseball and BEER are all pretty even when it comes to the rankings. My wife, family, career, friends and dogs come before all else.

What he said! After my day job is done, most of my free time is devoted to music. And reading. And hiking. All of which pair nicely with a fine IPA. I love my family & friends, and when they're in need of a good homebrew, I'm there for them.
