Since there are a lot of threads started in this forum asking how a particular beer ages, I thought maybe it would be a good idea to consolidate all of those questions into one thread. What do you all think?

@N17shelfside tried doing the same thing earlier this month when the thread "june cellar reviews" was started

sorry, i guess i just dont see the point and benefit of having it as 1 collective thread. even if it was to get used with any regularity, you would still have people making topics outside of it in the main subforum. also, as soon as 1 person asks a question several people will comment with conflicting opinions which would lead to side discussion and debate and then you will have those 2 people going back and forth about it while other people ask about a different beers "cellarability." before you know it, several beers will all be discussed at the same time and noone will be able to follow the flow of the conversation

    nam sayin?

Since I was quoted on this for a different reason I am just going to pitch in that more often than not I feel like the answer is just drink it to find your own guidelines and experience. Oftentimes I feel like these questions about specific beers are asked without considering the typical guidelines of what ages well, or what is the desired effect of aging one beer or another. IMO it is best to seek out reviews without clogging up the forum. That said it might be nice of some of the basic info was more easily available for people, perhaps as a header for the forum.
