I'm sure there's lots of variation between people on this subject. I'm not taking about how fast you can drink one, but how long you like to enjoy a bottle/glass. Does it vary by style? ABV? How many bottles you have left?

I think I'm on the slower end, but I usually take about 30-45 minutes to finish one.

    Cheers!

sounds about right for me too. though i've probably left it a litle longer if it was a higher abv, or if i've had a few before and don't want to rush it

A big beer like BCBS, an hour. Snpa, 20 minutes. For big stouts I take it slow because I like seeing how it develops as it warms.

Totally depends on the beer. I'll crush a tasty pale ale in a matter of minutes, but I've been nursing this Barrel-Aged Old Ruffian for going on 3 hours now.

Thirty minutes minimum. I'm a very slow drinker, regardless of style (except with AALs).

I have enjoying the Society and Solitude #5 that my buddy surprised me with as an extra to an already awesome trade for about 2 years now. (i think the drinking took 20 minutes)

I also agree that it depends on the style/environment. Took me about 2 hours to finish a barleywine earlier (I was also playing a video game, otherwise I would have drank it much quicker if I were drinking with a group or not otherwise occupied with a machine). Otherwise, I can drink anything in about 20 minutes. Not the best case scenario. I'd rather be occupied and sipping.

I like to drink my beer thoughtfully, no matter the style.

On weekdays, I can spend all night on 2-3 beers. On weekends, sky's the limit.

I've had a tendency my entire life to drink insanely fast (I'm talking fruit juice/milk cartons/etc). That said, when drinking alone I tend to imbibe rather slowly.

Since you know there is huge variation I am curious why you ask but the other day after having at least one to many beers I woke up after a 8 hour nap and polished off the last 6 ounces of warm The Pupil. It actually wasn't bad

I was finishing off my first Ten Fidy (ever) tonight, and I realized I had been sipping on it for about an hour and a half. It got me wondering if that was common, or if I'm just crazy slow.

I mean, obviously everyone's different. I think it's fun to read not just about what beer people enjoy, but how people enjoy them. Plus the stories and bits of wisdom are always great!

BCBS was the longest drink I've had at close to 2 hours, that beer is just too damn big.

Half hour or so for most. Stouts and porters I usually take up to an hour.

Anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Very much dependent upon circumstances. I can knock back an IPA in 10 minutes on a golf course and enjoy it more than if I were to relax with the same IPA for half an hour in front of a football game. Sometimes vice versa.

I never thought to time it. I drink to relax. watching a clock would bug me. Still I am going to drink a beer that should stay cold before it gets hot. Imperial stouts and thing of that nature, it depends. I think I nearly slammed a Brooklyn BCS yesterday because it was the first of the day and I was enjoying the heck out some music and posting.
So I have no idea, I sort of hate watching the clock, makes the day drag by....
