Hey now, there are lady beer enthusiasts on here too! ;D

Nope, no exaggerating here! Now I'm curious how long you usually take?

Glad to see the Slowskys also enjoy craft beer. Good thing that dial up modem still works so you can still post:wink:

Nice plan, but great games often ruin such things as nice plans. For instance, Auburn/Alabama. I'll be pulling for the Panthers tomorrow PM versus the Saints- I believe from the outset that a 4 beer game plan is a pipe dream, but I'll let the flow of play make the call. Cheers.

If I'm out actively drinking, be it the bar or at a gathering, about 3 an hour, with ~12-15 units of alcohol over the night being a comfortable night. Might be a little dehydrated in the morning, but usually not noticeable after the first couple hours.
On the day-to-day? Anywhere from 10-15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on when I drink it. Breakfast beer and after work beers are quicker, as are lunch/dinner beers. A half pint of Torpedo that has been been at ~70* for the last hour is delicious, you guys so bent on drinking quick are really missing out :stuck_out_tongue:

I've noticed some people really can't nurse/sip on a beer for an hour or two.

Usually the higher abv or complexions of the beer=the longer it takes to drink.
Hoppy IPA's, and Imperial and Double IPA's I have to slow myself down as they seem to go reaaaaaaally quickly since the taste is my preference. The one Dirt Wolf I had the other night lasted about 1.5 min, but that was the first beer after work. Bad idea cause I really enjoyed it and wanted another one...

it depends. I remember one time I pounded 8 busch in two hours. But, with higher ABV i'm sipping it because that stuff sneaks up on you.

Popped a BA Speedway tonight for the Big 10 Championship game. Opened at 8, still working on the last 5 ounces. Should be a solid 3 hours plus--but this equates to about 4.5 "drinks" total. Pretty standard for me on a large format bottle, especially on the higher ABV (save them for weekends to slowly savor).

Going back to college, rocked 9 Smirnoff Ices in about 36 minutes if I remember my attempts at fast drinking correctly.

Eek, those Smirnoff Ices have always tasted like bile to me. Even when they came out with more flavors, I still taste bile in them and Mike's Hard

Depends on the beer and the situation. Typically 20-45 mins though. High ABV or really burly styles (imperial stouts, barleywines, etc) run on the higher end. I drank a BCBS last night kind of "fast" and it took about 30 minutes.

yes, they do ... and I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, so I often break my 4-beer per game rule just to deal with the madness

My previous comments must all be given an asterisk - the other night I had a Brother Thelonious. This was a slow and cautious procedure.
