My question to all Beer Advocates is: How long is too long to keep a beer in your fridge before drinking it?

Example: I have been storing a 750ml bottle of Duvel (my all time favourite) in the fridge for about 6 months, biding my time, waiting for a special occasion, I mean a really big special occasion, but now I am worried that it might lose its flavour or something... or I want to drink it regardless.

What are your personal experiences with long-term storing of beers in fridges?

I know Stone did their vertical epic tasting with beers from 2002 that had been properly stored in a refridgerator and across the board they said there was very little oxidation, and in the video I believe it was one of the bros that said it really shows that proper refrigeration can make a beer last. Might have been someone else tho, but either way, someone said that.

I can only provide information as a personal experience. I picked up some Heady at the brewery in June 2012 and kept it cold from the time I picked it up until I got it home and into the fridge. I had the last one in October and it was just as good as the first one I had. As long as the Aussie refrigerators are the same as the American refrigerators you should be OK.
