I had a bottle of it not too long ago and it was delicious. I bought another bottle that I plan on holding on to for a while. What say you?

I've heard batch one has held up pretty well to aging. At least a few years?

Had batch one 9 months ago and it was drinking great. Seemed like it will continue to do well. Sorry I don't have a more recent tasting, I am down to my last bottle of batch one :slight_frown:

I believe I've seen Sam mention cellaring it for a few decades.

I drank a batch one last month and it was really oxidized. Not bad - I still drank the whole bomber to myself - but this beer is better fresh imo.

There is a case sitting under a bunch of other stuff in the most ramshackle beer store around the way...A case of the first edition, I believe...was wondering if I should grab some. Have 1 bottle of vol.2 I haven't tried yet in the cellar.

Got a couple sitting in the cellar, we`ll see in 2-3 years how they hold up.

I have two in my cellar and I'm not cracking them open for a while. Maybe I'll open one with a year on it. I loved the maple flavor it had to it, so if I sense that fading away then I'm going to pull the plug (or cork)

I wouldn't go any further than a year. I think there is a "crispness" to it when it was fresh that made that beer. It won't last much longer than that IMO. I think that the longer you age it the sweeter and more syrupy it will get.

Had one a few months back and IMO it was phenomenal. I think it really depends on how you cellar it. This bottle was from a cellar that is consistently the same and low light. hope this helps.

Agreed, that sounds about right. I liked that snappy flavor when I had it fresh, letting it sit too long would just muddle everything together.

That being said, I could be totally wrong and will still probably wait a couple years haha.
