Picked up a crowler of 2013 BCBS at Goose Island's Migration Week event today. I don't necessarily want to age it, but was wondering if anyone had experience or knowledge as to how long this can realistically last and still be good.

It depends a lot on the fill, but 2-3 weeks is what most retailers say.

If kept cold and properly filled I've had them last as long as 8 weeks and still taste excellent.

I don't know if Crowlers are any different from growlers, but I've had big beers in growlers last much longer than a few weeks - I've had them last (with big beers,) for over a year.

I would say the safest bet is within 2 months. The trick with a crowler, besides the fill level, is the slow speed at which it gets seamed. The slower the seamer, the more oxygen can get into the can before it is closed, even if it is dosed with CO2.
