    i All,

If you open a Sam Adams Utopia for some and close it, how long will the contents stay well?

I don't have personal experience with this, but have heard others say that they kept it for a year (and possibly longer) with no issues

It will stay good for quite a while. I opened a bottle of 2003 in 2005 and it was still great when I polished it off in 2007.

I took about 6 or 7 years to drink my 2003. Was fine the whole time.

So would it be even better if you used one of the wine savers with it? There is no worries about losing carbonation, since it's bottled still in the first place.

I imagine you just put the cap back on as you would a liquor, since you said there is no carbonation.

Why do so many people call it "Utopia"? I've never understood that. It's called Utopias.

I used to work for Sam, and we guaranteed it for up to ten years after opening. The stuff is essentially liquor.

I'd wager it will probably still be good and kicking long after most of us are good and rotting.

They renamed it. It used to be called Sam Adams Utopia....as far as I'm concerned it always will be. "Utopias" just sounds stupid. Like naming your imperial stout "Imperial Stouts."

When was it ever just called "Utopia"? The first bottling came right after Millennium and was called Utopias MMII straight out of the gate, wasn't it?
