How many BAs have you met in real life?

I've met dozens of BAs all over California, dozens more in Oregon, a few in New Mexico, a few in Arizona, and one at the bar in the Springfield, MO airport while I was waiting for my flight.

If I meet someone at a place where good beer is available, and I strike up a beer-related conversation, I don't generally have any difficulty asking them if they participate in any online beer forums. I guess I'm just that kind of geek.

 

I've often wondered why that hasn't been a thing. I've considered posting such a meet up kind of thing but wasn't certain if there was protocol that had to be met, what rules had to be applied, what sort of parameters, etc., as my AF time did a serious number on me in terms of feeling like endless regulation must be adhered to!

I've met 4. All of them have been trade partners for a year +. Always fun.

My sister and her fiancee and my dad are the only three people I know personally who drink and enjoy beer and know a fair amount about it.

Now that I think about it, one. My dad's on BA somewhere, though he goes on just once a year to "tick."

 

We need to wear nametags (handle tags?) or have pins or something. But then again I don't want people to equate us to Yelp! reviewers.

I met one of the publishers of this site...but they kept pouring stouts and porters, I can't remember who it was
