How many beers are listed on BA?

Good Question, when you click on 'Beers' at the top, then the 'View More Review', a list pops up that says at the top 'Reviews' 1 to 50 out of 42500.

 

It's alot more than 42500, before they made the recent updates, there was a tracker on the site witch indicated how many beers there was. It had just passed the 200 000 mark. I used to refresh the page every 30 seconds and there was always a new beer being added. It's insane!

 

Sounds like this is something we should still have, even though it might be a bit depressing.

 

There's a lot of one offs that never make it to BA. I try to add each one I try around here, but each one I add, there's like 10 more that I haven't tried.

 

Why were the two posts (one I made, one from another guy) that mentioned Rate Beer deleted?

Do you see them as a threat/rival?

They aren't a big secret you know!

Trying to share beer information here for the good of the community and in response to the OP, pretending other sites don't exist doesn't make any sense!

 

The owners of this site make the rules. It's their site and they are entitled to do so. If you don't like their rules, nobody is forcing you to use this site.

Perfectly true but I can make my point thanks all the same.

I don't own RB so I don't see it as a comparison in terms of advertising another business, just sharing info as I stated above.

If mentioning other sites is on a list of FAQ's as 'Don'ts' then fair enough I apologise, if not - it should be !
