No idea. I'd guess somewhere between 500 and 1,000.

I don't keep track of no. of breweries visited, mushroom species found, or dead/phish shows I've been to, but lots of people in all three favorite hobbies do. I would have to guess about 200 breweries visited over a long span of time, but I answered I don't keep track.

I have a good friend who I have had the pleasure to accompany to a fair number of breweries. He now is retired from work, and free to visit to his heart's content, @WillieThreebiers . Curious what is his updated total? I think @slander of tiny notebook fame has visited "a few" as well.

Wow, didn't realize I've been to so many. I don't frequent my local breweries; too much family time at home to go out much. I only hit locals for releases.

Anyway, here are the highlights of my 32 brewery visits:
    • The Alementary - this is my local brewery; it's about 2 miles from my house.
    • Aslin - no taproom at the time, just cans
    • Black Project - the bartender cut up a Palisade Peach for me to try. Best peach I ever had.
    • Blue Jacket - I didn't love the beer, but it was a fantastic spot to watch some sports. It's just down the street from Nationals Park.
    • Brix City - also close to me, just 5.5 miles away from my house.
    • Captain Lawrence - this used to be my local brewery before I moved to NJ. Had a blast at a Cuvee de Castleton release.
    • Defiant - just stopped there once when I was in the area
    • Evil Twin NYC - went there before their greenhouse taproom opened.
    • FiftyFifty - passed through Truckee on my way from Reno to San Francisco a few weeks ago. It is a stunning area, especially in the snow.
    • Forest & Main - stopped there on my way home from Philly. It felt like I was stopping for a beer at a friend's house.
    • Great Notion - this is my favorite brewery. I make a point to stop at both locations each time I'm in Portland. Always a huge and amazing tap list.
    • Hackensack - this is around the corner from The Alementary, so it's also one of my locals.
    • Hair of the Dog - hit it my first time in Portland but haven't been back as it's a bit far from downtown Portland and subject to traffic. Cool spot though.
    • Hill Farmstead - I used to make a pilgrimage around once a year, but most of their stuff makes it to NYC in kegs these days so I haven't been in several years. Still a bucket-list stop.
    • Hudson Valley - Not incredibly far from my house, so I could go there for a release, in theory. Love their beer.
    • Interboro - quick subway ride from my office. Cool spot.
    • Kane - bit of a trip from my house, so I've only been there once. Would love to go again.
    • Keg & Lantern - it's basically just a bar in Brooklyn around the corner from Torst. Decent beer.
    • KCBC - went there once for a release. Cool place.
    • LIC - right near the Queensboro Bridge. Has a cool old-fashioned feel.
    • Magnify - it's about 20 miles from my house. Decent spot.
    • Moksa - passed through on my way from Reno to San Francisco. Had an incredible beer on tap.
    • Monday Night Garage - stopped there on my last trip to Atlanta. Huge, awesome place.
    • New England - I used to stop there on my way back from Hill Farmstead. Great beer, but the brewery experience is only decent.
    • Ocelot - I had occasion to be in the area for Passover, so that was my first stop after 8 days of no beer.
    • OEC - I would LOVE to go back there; it's in the middle of nowhere Connecticut. Awesome beer and awesome place.
    • Other Half - I'm there at least once every few weeks. Too crowded to really enjoy, but the beer is outstanding.
    • Sand City - They really embrace the shipping theme, which is cool. It's a real hidden gem.
    • The Alchemist - ahh... remember the days of chasing trucks around Vermont for a few cans of Heady? The new brewery is fabulous and flowing with abundant goodness.
    • The Brewer's Art - this place was really a surprise. It's fancy enough to go there with co-workers, and the food looked really good. Beer is pretty good too.
    • Threes - also has that old-timey feel to it. Good beer, and they stock plenty of other locals in their coolers.
    • Tired Hands - I mean... pick your location. I went to the Fermentaria, which was gigantic. Awesome place.
    • Tree House - Also used to stop there on the way back from Hill Farmstead. I remember waiting outside on line for the Good Morning release and tasting Julius while on line. Haven't been to the new one yet.
    Thanks for letting me reminisce.

    Cheers!

Great post, as it made me think how few I've been to (only 20!)
NJ: Death of the Fox, Kelly Green, Eight & Sand, Westville
PA: Victory, Yards, Sterling Pig, 2nd Story, Braeloch, Goose Island
    DE: Iron Hill, Argilla, Stitchhouse
NY: Big Ditch, Thin Man, Pearl Street
    WV: Morgantown BC
    NC: Weeping Radish, Lost Colony
    SC: Edmund's Oast

Living just outside Philly, there are so many great ones to visit. I need to get going!

Funny, I've never actually sat down and tried to figure this out because I figured it'd be well over 100. But now that I've actually taken the time to count, I think I've only been to ~70 breweries (I know. Only? Haha)

Only 26. We don't go out of way to visit breweries. Most of the visits that happened were incidental to where we happened to be. The only exception was a pilgrimage to New Glarus, WI.

I never really thought about keeping up with the number.
In 2019 somewhere around 20+ breweries.
In 2020 five breweries so far as of 1/5/2020 All in NC.
    Aviator with tour.
    Raleigh Brewing with tour.
    Carolina Brewing
    Bombshell Brewing
    Local Oaks Brewing
This is part of my twofold plan.
To visit and tour breweries in 2020
To drink beer every single day in protest of Dry January.
    Eat local. Drink local.

Visiting breweries gets pretty boring after a few, unless you guys are talking about going to a brewery's local taproom. I'd much rather go to a great beer bar where I can sample beers from multiple breweries. Of course living where even one brewery in a particular town is considered great makes it hard for me to comprehend having multiple breweries nearby.

It is different when there are multiple breweries near by.
Two breweries within three miles of me.
    About 20 within a 20 mile radius.
Several towns I've been to have three or four breweries within walking distance.
That's where I'd like to live!

This thread prompted me to make a list, but I feel like I might be missing a few. Current number of breweries I've been to is at roughly 130, instead of listing them all I'll just do a quick breakdown.

    69 breweries in CA
    27 breweries in OR
    13 breweries in WA
17 breweries combined in AZ, CO, FL, HI, NV, NY, and SD
4 breweries combined in Bahamas, Bermuda, and Mexico
