By chance are you a statistician or a math teacher?

Shucks, no, but I do harbor a lot of math envy.

I am in the same boat, started back in March and took off with it, just brewed my 14th batch today. I usually do about 2-3 batches a month.

343 batches over 22 years = 15+ batches per year. Not consistent however; my production rate has gone up in recent years - 25 last year and 22 so far this year .

I know I made 46 batches of beer or mead in each of 2012 and 2011. Not sure the exact number of beers at this time. Looks like 22 beers so far this year; few more to go but not until Thanksgiving or so.

To answer the early question. AG all the way. I did not understand extract/partials at all. AG clicked right away. Will re-visit partials sometime.
It seems I'm not completely insane, or at least not as much as most that posted.
    Good company.

Ive been brewing since May 2012. So Ive been brewing about 1 year and 4 months and Ive made close to 200 beers. I only brew all grain although I have made a couple LME batches in the past. And mostly make 1 gallon and 3 gallon batches.

You all brew an enormous quantity of beer. I am amazed that anybody consumes (even with lots of help) 20 kegs in a year. I brew 6-8 times per year. Forty gallons is plenty of beer for my household consumption and a half dozen parties.

Another experssion of my math envy:
1 pint per day per person x 365 days per year x 0.125 gallons per pint = 45.625 gallons of beer per person.

Edit: Also, an expression of my inability to type and edit before posting.

Average once a week, but don't brew much in the Summer and sometimes a couple batches a week in cooler weather. I brew to cellar a fair bit and have 12 wild beers going now, but that's not counting the two beers lagering that will get brett or the biere de noel I brewed last night. I think my better bottle habit may be a little out of control, I've been trying to limit myself to one a month.

    Interesting.

I checked the log and I brewed 6 times each in 2010 - 2012 and 5 times so far this year. Apparently, I brew less and drink less than I thought.

Since the homebrew law was passed, I've gone a little overboard (i.e. went through a bulk sack of 2 row in 2 months). I think I've kegged 4 in the last 2 or 3 months. I'm also the residing president of a newly formed homebrew club, so I've helped brew twice that amount since the law passed (using a lot of my personal inventory). Luckily my son likes to take part with the grain milling and the setup, so my wife isn't always on me for missing out on family time. Most of my time brewing has been to help educate others, but one of these days I'm gonna brew just for me. Kinda getting sick of hopburst IPAs since that seems to be what everyone wants. Never thought I'd say that.

I'm down to about a batch a month on average (12-15 a year over the last two years)...way down from days of old. Now being a homeowner to a house that needs a lot of elbow grease plus 2 kids, keeps my brewing goals far from achievable.

I brew since 2008, something about 20-25 batches/year including the best and the worst
