How many different beers do you drink at a sitting? Or maybe you drink one beer all night (and/or day). Or both! Lately I've been trying many different beers. So it's usually a variety of 2 to 3 beers at a time, many ones I haven't tried yet. I think of it as so many beers, so little time.

    How about you?!!!

If I'm drinking for evaluation purposes, I usually drink two or three because I sip each one for about an hour.

    Same.

On a normal night, 1-2. Occasionally I'll do 3-4 (although I'll never review a beer after my second different one), and once a friend and I went through 10+ individual beers over the course of about 6 hours.

Completely depends on who's with me, size of bottles, and strength of beers - I don't often have more than one beer open at a time by myself though sometimes will do two if I want to compare. But at a tasting of 6 guys we'll open 12-15 big bottles.

Unless I am at a tasting event or doing a flight at a bar, I usually keep myself to 2 different beers in a sitting. On rare occasions, I might sample a third different beer. After 3, I think it is hard to detect and appreciate the differences in each offering.

I almost never drink two of the same beer at home. at a bar/pub/brewery if there is something good I may have a second serving but usually a different beer every time.

I try to keep it to 3 if I'm alone. Sometimes though my wife and I will taste test things together, which means sharing bottles, which means a lot more.

I almost never drink two of the same beer in one sitting. The only exception is when my choices are limited.

I must be in the minority though because 75% of bartenders see you with an empty glass and ask 'What were you drinking?' automatically assuming you want the same thing again.

Unless I'm at a friend's BBQ, each beer i have in a sitting will be different. About 3-4 different ones.

Last night I had 4 beers, all different. That's the usual.

My beer-enthusiast friends laugh at me because I'm a one-brand-style kind of guy. I don't like going out for a night of revelry and having a pilsner, then a wheat, then an IPA, then a stout, then a red ale, etc. I see how I'm feeling, pick the beer that matches my mood, taste, and the season (I'm a very seasonal beer drinker) and I generally stick with that.

The exceptions are when I'm at a beer event, because the purpose is to sample. Yesterday, I was at a starkbier festival and during the course of the day, I think I had seven different and distinct beers. I'll also do that if I'm travelling somewhere and happen to find a beer bar with a good tap, I'll diversify then.

My usual habit is to stick to one thing for that session.

If I go to a concert or some event where they have a limited selection I will usually get a couple of the same thing. I usually don't get the same thing twice when I go out to a beer bar. I was out a few weeks ago at a pizza place and got a DFH Namaste, followed by a Rogue Dead Guy, and then a Stochasticity Grapefruit Slam. I got strange looks from the server by the third one.

If we are talking different styles of beer, it varies depending on my mood. Some nights I could be on an IPA or stout kick so I go with it and others I just don't. Even when it is a one style day, I usually don't drink two of the same brand beers in a session.

Depends on the quantity of each beer and abv. If each serving is only a few ounces, I would sample as many as 15 different beers if available.

For an average night at home, I'll rarely have two in a row. Exceptions being when I decide to crack two to fill my imperial pint glass, or sometimes just being in the mood for two.

Two: St. Bernardus Abt and St. Bernardus Prior. Except on emergency evenings like tonight when there's no St. Bernardus and I have to resort to drinking Heady Topper.
