How many different beers have you tried?

I just hit 3100 on BA today. I have more on UT that I've not added here (mostly small pours at bottle shares). And hundreds, if not thousands, before the internet existed, let alone became the all consuming monster it is now.

So many beers.

 

According to my Untapped account, I've hit 1,452 within two years of tracking. That seems about right to me, roughly two beers a day.

 

I'm above 1000 as well and on the low end of "beer ticks" compared to the crowd I hang with. The difference between myself and my beer bro's is I find a beer I like and I'll go with it and enjoy it time and time again. With them, it's all about the hunt.

 

150 or so one here. But that doesn't really scratch the surface for me. I maybe log in 1 out of 10 or 1 out of 15 beers that I actually try. There's a good chance that I have tried over 1000. I feel like it's pretty easy in this day and age to try a new to you beer two or three times a week, that gets you to 1000 in 6-9 years or so.

Overall I reckon 500 - 600 (been interested in new and interesting beers for probably 5 years now). I have only rated 364 though, as I joined BA relatively recently and don't rate from memory, especially given how our tastes over time. The upside is that I have been revisiting some beers I had tried previously so I can rate them honestly and been very pleasantly surprised!

 

The title of the thread asks how many I've tried, but the OP adds "on BA". On BA I'm at 591, but including pre-BA I'm probably over 700. I haven't really paid attention to milestone beers, but might when I hit #1,000. I've had 107 out of 111 styles.

 

I played it conservative in the poll but I've tried so many that I cannot possibly give a number. I like trying the local brew when travelling to a new area.

 

227 ratings here, but I don't review or rate regularly. Figure a mixed six every 2 weeks, that's 156 beers a year, plus bombers and fests could conservatively put it at 200 a year. 1400 different beers since I really dove in feet first. I used to tick more when I started, now I grab what sounds good.

 

Unique beers, I can safely say between 3000-4000 for myself. I keep track. But I've been doing this drinking thing for 25ish years... everyone can get there if they put their heart and mind to it

 

Untappd says 881. I'm thinking closer to 1000 since there's beers I haven't checked in.

 

My Beer Advocate total is 1,289 as of this posting, and I haven't decided if I'll review anything tonight yet. My total posting on here is beers I've reviewed. Total novel beers consumed number is a bit higher.

I agree. With the number of breweries and brewpubs opening, it would be incredibly easy to find new beers to total up to 1000 or more. If I went to every release in my city, I could probably hit 500 beers alone within a year. Pull that circle out to my full state and I could be sitting at 1000+. That sounds like an expensive and tiresome venture, but possible.

I'm at nearly 1,300 beers on BA and I can still do mix six packs and end up with six new beers. It's great!

 

I always think this list is pretty crazy. This is just BA users who have reviewed a beer. It doesn't include all the people who have rated that many or more.

It's also early in the day. I'd wager a lot of heavy BA users and contributors are browsing now. We may see the poll balance out a little later in the day.
