I love cans, but don't see the point in crowlers. They have all the drawbacks of growlers without most of the benefits. Too much beer at one time, and you can't even reseal it to put it in the fridge for that delicious flat beer sloppy seconds. Plus crowlers are not reusable so they are more wasteful as well.

I did see that Oskar Blues is developing a crowler with a screwtop lid, that makes much more sense.

I have 7 64 oz growlers, mainly from Montana. One from KS, and a double walled insulated growler from my brothers wedding as a gift. Then I have 2 32 oz growlers, one from Avery and another from KS.

    All of them, :slight_frown:

    From breweries:

    1 Fiddlehead
    1 Frost Beer Works
    1 Foam Brewers
    1 1st Republic
    1 Hill Farmstead
    1 Federal Jack's (ME)

    Stores:

1 Old Brick Store (Charlotte, VT)
    1 Natural Provisions (Williston, VT)
    1 Winooski Beverage (Winooski, VT)
1 Craft Beer Cellar (Waterbury, VT)

Makes me think I need to keep some in my truck when I'm out and about just to see what I can pick up on my way home.

Yeah, I hear ya, man. Used to live in Yarmouth, ME a while ago and that used to bug the crap out of me with the "brewery branded growler." I can't believe they didn't change the law yet, just seems antiquated a bit and wasting glass.

I currently have 83 unique ones, mostly from New Mexico and Colorado - my GF and I collect them and usually look for 1 or 3 breweries that have growlers we can stop at while on vacations. Also have several extras that I would be willing to trade for growlers I don't have, if any are interested.

I have 8 growlers which I’ve accumulated over the years, and I have filled them all with my collection of bottle caps (the mouth of a growler is just the right size to push caps through). It tends to make a better display though with the clear growlers than the brown ones, and alas brown ones are what tends to be available.

A mini cooler with a 64 and 32 oz growler inside (with a little bubble wrap for when you hit a bump) is a great way to go. Throw an $8 lawn chair in the back too and you’re ready for everything haha

hi everyone. I know this isn't applicable, but I am looking to purchase some growlers from breweries in CA, UT, CT, or NY. If anyone has any old ones they would like to sell or get rid of please let me know. My fiance and I will be incorporating them into our upcoming wedding. He is an avid beer drinker and travels to many local breweries. Thank you!

I only have 6 or 8 and this is too many for me. They just kind of accuminated over time as this is not an efficient way to buy beer, for me.

I get all of my growler fills at a local liquor store that has a bottle exchange, and they steam clean them. I usually have 2 or 3 32oz growlettes either full in the fridge, or empty in the car awaiting refill. I just got a Green Bay Packers 64oz growler that will likely end up being a decoration because I always get growlettes. They fit better in my fridge.

Too damn many. Then, I never have one with me when I want to use one, so need to get another.

Only two. One from Great Lakes that was filled with a past RIS; that's been my primary one (and I've replaced the seal). The other one, from Market Gardens, was given to me and has never been used.

    Growlers are good for parties.

I've seen a few mentions of people recycling or tossing theirs when they have too many or move - home and professional winemakers love these. All my growlers are full of topping wine right now so I can only buy cans until my barrels need topping

    Too many.

I do use a Tree House flip top for ice coffee.

I think I have about 20-25, but was just thinking I'd cull the collection and just keep the best couple of each size for use.
