From your 1st favorite style, how many times have
you changed your favorite styles till the present?

    Since I started drinking beer,
    my favorites have been:

    Pilsners
    Lagers
    American Blonde Ale
    Amber Ales
    Pale Ales
    IPA's

    How about you?

Started with Pilsners and Blondes, moved to Ambers and Stouts, and then had a crazed IPA phase. I think overall I'm most impressed with really good IPA's, but stouts still make me the happiest.

hmmm I think I listed the tripel as my favorite style and that is till true. Lovely beer that I personally like to see on a sunday morning. I think I said that the hefe in the tall weizen glass looks like utopia to me and that is still true. I did not list the pils but yeah, the pils. Gee I have not really changed my mind although it is my perogative.

I took the safe vote: I don't count. I used to love stouts, then ambers, then ESBs. I sometimes love adjunct lagers. Sometimes I love winter warmers. My mood is constantly changing, and perhaps this is why I love ticking, I'm always looking for a new beer (not necessarily a new style though). I get into IPA phases sometimes. I'm starting to like Belgians. The process is endless

I'm the IPA Hunter®. What kind of question is this? Maybe I'm just too simple. I stick with what works.

For me it's constantly changing. One month I'm really into stouts/porters and then the next month i'll be into IPA's. I guess that doesn't mean that they're necessarily my favourite styles, its more of a mood thing.

Not sure if I really have a favorite style--I've had so few beers/styles overall that all of my top favorite beers so far are the only ones in their styles that I've tried.

I have noticed that I have varying "moods" for different types of beer from time to time, though. Like how most of this week I've been craving sweeter/bready lagers more than anything, while last night (after a couple of sweet/bready beer days in a row) I felt more like having a roasty sort of beer, and today I decided not to have a beer at all. And I get the feeling I will be in the mood for something with more hops next...

My favorite style has been stouts since first trying Guinness Extra Stout in the 90's. I do enjoy a good IPA or IIPA and barley wines. As an avid coffee drinker I enjoy the coffee characteristics stouts have. Recently I did not have a stout for about 2 weeks then went back to one and I remembered how much I enjoy them. But regardless of style, if it's a good beer then I have no problem enjoying it.

IPA'S are the king to my pallet, then pales, then pilsners, then lagers. I have had some porters and stouts that I like well but would not call them one of my styles.Used to have a taste for heffeys but it somewhat waned. Don't care for the styles tending toward sweetness.

The only styles I cannot come to terms with are Tripels and Hefes. I get banana out of both and I just can't deal with that. Pilsner is probably my overall favorite, but I even get tired of them and have to switch it up. I'm just a fanboy of beer, in general, I guess. Luverly beverage.

I have several favorites but it all depends on my mood and what i might be pairing it with. I started out only liking ambers then found stouts. Hated ipas for the longest time but have come to really love them. Just like trying new styles and flavors.

Zero. IPAs have always been my favorite... unless you count all the shitty AALs from my teen years

I've transitioned from stouts to barleywine over the past few years. I'm a sucker for malty, potent ales.

Stouts were my favorite style when I first broke into craft. Then, and still now, I'd say I don't have a favorite style. I have a few specific styles that I like most of all, but not sure I prefer one over any of the other.

My initial favorites were English Bitter and Belgian Strong ales, graduated to brown/red ales, now I like most styles, not too keen on Barley Wines, and I can't do sours, but other than that, bring 'em on

Started with a blanche de chambly in montreal in 2010 that being my first "craft beer". Then moved to belgians for a while avery karma was a favorite for about 6 months, then an occasional mix of sours flander oud bruins and ipa's. Not much of a porter guy so that style can be ruled out. Been stuck on stouts for like a year and a half now and kinda found i like them best.

IPAs to Belgians/Saisons to Belgian IPAs to Brett beers (which I consider to be a style of its own) and I still love everything in between.

I started with porters, then pale wheat ales, then IPAs and now I think it's probably milk/sweet stouts.

I mean at one point sam adams black lager was my favorite beer, but I couldn't have told you the style then. I like sam adams over bud light but I didn't know about styles that far back.

Once I knew styles it was IPA and while not an official style bourbon barrel aged stouts are my favorite style (beer advocate get on this as it's own style) as I'm not about to compare an imperial stout to a barrel aged one. They are NIGHT AND DAY different.
