    Never ever do the maths.

Serious answer: I make sure to spend LESS on beer than my place bills and foods.

Rather have a roof than end up a bum on the street drinking Heineken.

I was easily in the 100 to 200 range when I went to a bar almost every day after work, then stopped it when the inlaws came to live with us a 1.5 years ago. They have since moved out and I never got back into the routine, so now I pick up a six pack or 2 a week/2 weeks and drink down the cellar. I also go out a couple of times a week but usually only have a couple of beers then, so easily in the 50 - 100 range. Now if you count my grown kids who go out with me on those couple of times a week I might be pushing 250

I clicked on $350-$400 on the poll, that includes my PBR drinking wives beer since we spend about $100 per week at the liquor store. Throw that figure out the window on Black Friday.

I'll be one of those people. My wallet is already mad at me for the abuse its about to endure. Going to four days worth of this event. I'm easily in the "spends way too much" group. Disposable income is pretty awesome.

I spend about $100-$150 per month, possibly a little higher. This include averaging out beer club membership. If you add at least one beer festival a year, I probably more in the $150-$200 range.

$200-$250 per month average. This includes beer for home consumption, plus a couple nights out at a bar, or concert, or sporting event.

I have a 2 year old and an eight month old.

I think I’ve prob always sat in the $250/month zone. Pre-kids that was mostly spent at bars. Post-kids that’s mostly stuff I’m taking home.

The latter should have been less if you did an apples to apples comparison of store cost vs bar costs when I was mostly going to the bar. But I chose to have kids around the same time as the meteoric rise of the $$$$$ 16oz can 4-pack. And the closest place for me to buy to-go beer is Other Half Brewery in Brooklyn - two 4-packs a week and that’s already putting me at ~175/month. Other odds and ends and the occasional bar tab and there’s your 250.

Edit - after typing that out maybe put me down for 300....

Second edit after mulling it over for a couple minutes - maybe 400...

If you find yourself in Los Angeles reach out, I'l see if I can get a share going.

One thing about the $500 a month club, is we love to share beer with people that can appreciate it

I used to spend several hundred a month, but I've forced myself to cut back a lot.
Now I'm on a $40 per week limit. So $120 a month at most, but sometimes less than that.

I voted < $50 assuming trips to the store. Then I was reminded about restaurants and bars, so I should have checked 50-100 .Trying to lose a few pounds, so the real answer is, not as much as I’d like.

It depends on the mood and time of the year plus if I drink with my friends I spend much more money.
