How much do you drink a day?

I don't think people are alcoholics unless it interferes with their life. If you lost a job,etc.due to alcohol you might need to rethink your drinking habits.

 

honestly around 2-3 a night, usually just buy a six pack of something that I will enjoy for 2-3 days.

 

0-2 12oz bottles or 1 large format bottle is pretty typical for me, regardless of weekend or weekday. I'll have more if I am at a bottle share or at a bar, maybe once a week at most? Slow and Steady I guess.

 

I dont drink any weeknights, just on the weekend. Then how much I drink depends on a lot of things.

 

I used to drink Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun and I'd usually be around 24 beers a week but recently I've cut back to around 18 a week hoping to lower a bit further if I can. My girlfriend tells me 24 a week is too much but idk it hasn't affected my life (other than my wallet.)

You clearly do not understand the difference between an unhealthy level of consumption and having a disease. You were not talking about "what is a good idea". Setting some arbitrary limit of 2-3 beers a day does not inoculate you from alcoholism.

It's best you stick to your departure, lest you further embarrass yourself.

 

Medically recommended limit? Can I ask where your Dr. went to Med School?

 

My father was an alcoholic. He's right, 5 a day any way you slice it is alcoholic levels. I'm not offended.

To answer the question I would say I average 1 per day. Some days I'll drink 1, weekends maybe 3 and then I have days I drink 0. Depends on my mood and what's going on personally and professionally.

One 12oz of 5% ABV is universally considered to count as one drink AFAIK, that being said, I have anywhere from 6 to 12 drinks per night. I know I need to cut down.

 

Well, I'm only 21, but I'll typically drink 0-3 during the week days and Sunday. 4-10 Friday and Saturday nights, but I probably won't keep that up for long.

 

More than I should but less than I want

 

Mine varies a lot. Like today, I plan on having 3 (a Fullers 1845 (counts as 2) and a SNPA). Other times, I'll go 2-3 days without having a beer. Occasionally I'll have quite a few.

 

Usually 1-3. My boyfriend, his brother and I usually split a few beers on the nights that we get something new and then we generally have another beer to ourselves. my boyfriend and i have always loved beer and its awesome to help someone else discover their appreciation for good beers.

 

It;s certainly bordering on problem drinking and clinically binge drinking.

 

I think I'll use that line: "The Cellar Made Me Drink That..."

If it is strictly craft beer, usually only 2 a night. If it is a cheap beer, 2-8 on weekdays and only god knows on weekends.

 

Can we ban these stupid threads that pop up like every other week? There has to be some algorithm that automatically deletes threads that ask "how much..." True enthusiasts drink as much as we can responsibly to enjoy the delicious craft beers that are available to us. Any other answer is an attempt to justify your level of consumption.
