How much do you spend on beer each year?

Too much. That's why I'm currently drinking down my stash.

 

500$ a year....on postage. Don´t ask.

 

$2-3K on beer, I am also a fan of bourbon.

 

I was just doing the math and my wife looked at me and said "a little over two grand...that doesn't include travel costs" I smiled sheepishly and promised to spend less this year (probably a lie).

 

I don't really keep track, but I buy infrequently enough that I can pretty confidently guesstimate it at <$500

 

$1500 or so, best money I ever spend.

 

Before this year I spent maybe $100-200 year on beer. This year I went ape shit on this hobby and easily dropped $2k. But now I have a cellar built up so maintenance from here on out should be less than $500 as there's not too much left I haven't tried that we can get in my area as far as rares and limited releases. My fat ass also needs to cut back on the amount I drink this year.

 

Lets just say I stimulate the economy locally and nationally.

 

This year was well over $5000, considering all that I ordered from and bought in Belgium. That number is a bit of an anomaly, but I plan to budget probably ~$300 a month for beer going forward.

My wife thinks this is absurd, but I remind her that as far as obsessive hobbies go, this one is actually relatively cheap. At least, it is the way I do it, even at what is no doubt a budget at the high end of the scale. One could chase ghost whales and easily spend 5 or 10 times that amount, but I buy beer to drink, not collect.

Are we counting bar tabs here? Because if I ever actually added it all up I might jump off a cliff.

An ungodly amount and I am a poor college student at the moment. Craft brews only though.

 

Too damn much. If I had all the money I spent on beer, I'd spend it on more beer though.

 

I don't know for sure but I would say around $500. Which is about $40 per month.

 

As long as I spend less on beer than my wife spends on purses I'm in the clear.
