How much is westy 12 worth?

I managed to get one of the 'bricks' earlier this year for $85, which I thought was a fair price (fairer than the $400+ people were paying on Craigslist!). I have yet to open any of this batch but a friend shared a couple of bottles with me a year ago and, contrary to many of the views on this thread, I thought it was amazing- easily one of the best three beers I've ever had and appreciably better than Rochefort 10 and St Bernardus 12.
If I'd never tried it, I'd happily pay $20 for the honor...

Saw one in a bar in Baton Rouge (from the US brick release), $125. The bartender had no idea what it was and said it was that expensive cause it was the owner's last one.

 

Know exactly which Long Beach store in Long Island selling at $99.99 per bottle. Actually sold in two stores, the other the sister store in West Hempstead at the same ridiculous price. Bottles from Belgium, not US release. Don't think they have sold any bottles yet.

 

I can get 6 8 and 12 from a guy who can get regular appts at the brewery in Belgium. He charges $129 for a 6 pk of 2 each that includes shipping

100 dollar for a bottle. Thats disgusting. I recently did an IP trade with an american BA member and he got 18 westy 12 bottles for 18 dogfish head beers. So i actually gave him 1800 dollar of beer? Doh!

No joking. Better spend your money on rochefort 10 then or pannepot/pannepeut.
