How much malt fits into a 50qt Igloo cooler?

    That copper tubing is nice, I did something similar for fly sparging on the top. I drilled a bunch of tiny holes into the copper tube that was bent a couple of times. It dripped onto the grain bed awesomely with gravity feed. I hope you don't mind if I steel that design. I was just going to do a single arm with the metal screen over it.

    I find it a handy way adjust gravity on brew day. The thing to remember is that the sugar points remains constant (unless you add more sugar). If you get 10 gal of wort at 1050 you have 500 pts. If you are trying to hit a certain OG then you just divide the pts by the target OG, ie 500/60 says you need need to have a post boil volume of 8.3 gal to hit that 1060 target. Or you can adjust by adding DME, you get roughly 40pts/lb, so if you add one lb your adding 40 pts. Just add that to your point total and redo the math. Easy peasy.
