How much of BA do you use?

and I'll stray into some others from time to time, whether they be regional or Beer and Food, etc.

I mostly read posts (and post on) Beer Talk, but I'll wander into most of the other forum sections every now and then; Beer News/Releases are probably the most-read after Beer Talk.

I also poke around at lists of beers, styles, etc. on the main site a lot, too, and sometimes will look up beers/breweries I've seen around. And I try to review every beer that I've had at least twice (and occasionally one I've only had once, if I suspect I might not ever see it again. Or if I reviewed before I decided on the "try it twice first" rule I go by now. XD)

 

For me I'm always checking different beers for reviews when I'm at the store.

For the forums, I'm on Beer talk for the most part...from there it's the NE section, Homebrewing, food and beer. I also check out the home bar section it has some great ideas for my future home bar set up.

When I first signed up, I spent so much time learning about all the different styles and seeking out the beers that I had a lot of interest in - Mainly fall and holiday brews.

I think I might know what other BA you are talking about OP.

Basically I check Beer Talk for general stuff and my regional forum for discussions about beer I might actually get locally. Occasionally Beer News or New Releases. And of course the reviews/beer database both to post my own reviews and read reviews/ratings of beers I'm interested in. That's pretty much it.

Oh and every few months I check the Middle East and Africa forums to see if a new thread has started. God bless those guys.

 

I use much of BA. I do trade, but I also read local threads. I usually also read the other threads though lots of them are for the lolz.

Well up until recently, I basically only used the reviews part of the site, as a kind of way to keep and organize tasting notes for myself since I have a terrible memory and can't remember what beers I've had. I've just started coming to the forums to read some news and chit chat in beer talk. Haven't done trading at all.

ISO:FT (Although I completely get where those who have mentioned the "ickiness" of the trading forums are coming from. I find trading is most enjoyable when I stay out of the big time craziness of the heavy hitter bottles, so to speak, and focus on finding trading partners where both they and myself can come out of the trade happy)

Reviews, specific forums (Canada, Site Help, and Beer Talk, mostly), and the directory, in order to find out about existence (or lack thereof) of beers that are new to me.

 

I'm on here every day. Haha.

 

Couple forum sections (beer talk, homebrewing, midwest, pacific). I don't really look at reviews or ratings anymore.

 

I visit the NW and Beer Talk forums most regularly, then some Breweriana, and less frequently the Beer News, Beer Releases, Pacific, and Mountain sections. Rarely I'll look at the Breweriana trading forum to see if anybody's dying for the CBS snifter I never use.

Not into trading much, but I get the sense that many of the more recent sign ups have been exclusively for the ISO:FT forums who never touch the other forums (thus they'll never see this thread to represent).

I read reviews of beers and places.

In terms of forum usage:

Beer talk - To keep up with news, for general conversation, etc.
UK & Ireland - To try and keep up with stuff around the UK that might have slipped past me
