How often do Jai Alai cans hit Philly? I may have missed it but I haven't seen any places in Philly advertising that they got some Jai Alai in so far this year. When does Philly usually get shipments of Jai Alai? I got a case from Bella Vista last April when they got it in. I heard from the manager at Northern Liberties Beer that he isn't expecting any in the near future.

I'm wondering the same, but for the White Oak. Blew through a couple of cases last time that came up this way and want more desperately.

Great question- it was all over the place last spring, but nowhere to be found this year.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I had actually double checked their website last week to make sure it wasn't a seasonal beer. I haven't seen it since last summer.

I heard something about how they've reallocated where Jai Alai goes and "to PA" is either no longer on the list or it's now much lower. Please take this with a grain of salt as it's entirely unsubstantiated, but it would explain why I also haven't been able to find it in quite some time.

As for White Oak @mfunk9786 I don't think I've ever seen that around these parts, but I do know that it's a much more limited release than the regular, so in that case I'm less surprised to have not seen it. It's pretty frickin awesome though so I second you looking for it

It was definitely here last year for a week or two, because I bought a bunch.

Very jealous of that! That beer is so damn good. I love that in addition to the regular Jai Alai goodness I get pineapple and vanilla from it... I don't exactly know where that comes from, but I love it.

Cigar City was distro-ing to VA and we were awash in jai alai in 2014. Then, suddenly, it just stopped. such a tease. so disappointed.

Not Philly, but I haven't seen it in Lancaster in maybe a year, but at least 6+ months ago.

90 miles away, we'd see Jai Alai a few times a year, especially last year. But we haven't had it in quite a while. Interesting, because invasion and maduro brown are becoming downright common locally, but no Jai Alai. Very disappointing. Bella Vista is the distributor for all things CC in PA and they are notoriously impossible to get any real info out of. I live close enough to the upstate NY border(and travel there for work a few times a month) that I can get my fix there, but they've told me their allocation has been lessened.

Jai Alai has not been in Philly since a limited amount came back in November. Rumor has it that all the Jai Alai being sent up to Philadelphia was being contract brewed (which goes to show, again, great beer is contract brewed).

My guess for the lack of Jai Alai is due to greater demand in the Southeastern part of the country. Why ship beer if you can sell it all locally? Also, perhaps they decided to halt contract brewing for the time being for whatever reason.

Aw man, that makes me sad. I know the York area got Jai Alai, Florida Cracker, Jose Marti, Hotter Than Helles, Hopped on the High Seas last year or so.. but dangit if I haven't been trying to buy some Maduro for like the past 4 or 5 years.:slight_frown:

Saw Cracker, Maduro and Hells in Chadds Ford 2 weeks ago. The guy in the Beverage Barn there said they stopped getting Jai Alai a while ago and have not been able to bring it back in.

One of my favorite beers. Last year, you could get very easy. This year........no where to be found. Hope this changes because it is fantastic!
