Hardly ever. However I will get Odell 90 Schilling if they have it on tap at a bar or restaurant, and I've always been a fan of Paulaner Hefeweizen.

I'm enjoying a Goose Island IPA right now waiting on some friends at a sports bar. It's no BCBS or Matilda, but it hits the spot with some wings.

SA Boston Lager when I'm out at a restaurant without more interesting options, or when I get it in a variety pack. 'Gansett semi-regularly when I just want to grab something quick and not think about it. Even as someone who loves variety, I'm not obsessive about ticking and still go back to old favorites (or cheap, "I know nobody will complain about this" beer) on a regular basis.

A six pack of Short's Huma Luma Licious usually lasts me a week.

Not often. I will get a fat tire etc. if it is the only beer on tap where I'm at. I have to admit that 90 schilling is an excellent beer though.

I think that SNPA is always a good go-to when you need something tasty, easily drinkable, and readily available. Nothing to shake a stick at either- it's pretty tasty!

I like balancing "boring" flagship beers and more intensely flavorful varieties. I think it helps me enjoy more flavorful varieties better. Also cheaper.

Interesting topic here. I myself always get caught up in the rarer beers, hard to get beers, one off beers and seasonals. I see the standard beers on shelves like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Bell's Two Hearted and I keep telling myself I'll buy more of them once I get through these other beers I'm buying but it never happens

I tend to never drink the same thing over and over, so I usually have SA Boston Lager, Boulevard UW, SNPA, etc. once in a great while, usually as singles or in variety packs.

There are ALWAYS some basics we have in the fridge. Funny...we were just talking about this. Depending on the season obviously, but some of our fridge regulars/"basics" are Founders Breakfast Stout, Little Sumpin' Sumpin', 60 Minute, and most recently All Day IPA (cans baby!!).

I have a lot of Boston Lager just because I live in Boston and whenever you go to a place that has a terrible beer selection, it still has Boston Lager. It's an excellent safety beer.

For a lot of small places in Boston there are beer lists like this:
    Budweiser
    Miller Light
    Coors Light
    Corona
    Heineken
    Guinness
    Sam Adams Boston Lager
    Sam Adams Seasonal

    Easy choice.

Besides that I tend to branch out and find the best wits, stouts, and quads.

On tap, all the time: no problem with a DFH 60 or Boston Lager whatsoever. I don't get SNPA on tap, and I don't buy it often enough (I'm always trying new beer). If I'm going for something that I've had before, I'll usually go one step up: SN Torpedo, or DFH 90.

Frequently. If a brewery doesn't have a good year-rounder, then I probably don't drink their stuff at all.

I'll gladly pick up a six-pack of Hoegaarden every now and again. Seeking out the rarities and highly acclaimed stuff is fun, but sometimes I just want to grab something that is familiar and easier on my wallet.

Usually it's only when I'm out at a restaurant/bar or if I'm hosting a party.

Rarely. I usually stock up on limited's and enjoy offering those to my guests. I welcome anything that is offered when I am a guest. I just love that the brewing of beer has gained the attention of artists and they have ripped complete control of the malt beverage industry from the hands of corporate accountants.

I rarely go back to the basics, but I did drink some Alpha King not to long ago and loved it.
