How often do you drink shelf beer?

That's what you get for going to strange beer blags...

 

I'm so exclusive and elite and generally unavailable myself that I'm free to drink whatever I like, since my own presence imbues even the humblest, dusty shelf beer with an unimpeachable glamor.

 

My go to beers would be Surly furious or Overratted, FFF gumballhead, and half acre daisy cutter.

 

I usually chug a Rose De Gambrinus after I mow the grass, but that's just me.

I guess I drink mostly shelf beers, because I don't trust beer that floats.

 

We are in the age of amazing beers and I am still that kid in a candy store. Right now, even a Lord Chesterfield Ale is rare to me. (Can't get it here!) Cellar or not, it's all good to me.

 

How does one discover or stumble across new beer if "shelf" beer is avoided? Oh right.. whalez only I forgot!

 

The way I see it, unless you're sipping "M" from a solid gold, diamond-encrusted chalice while attended by a bevy of naked underwear models, you're a douche!

 

I'm going to buy the shit out of Centennial and SN Summerfest 12 packs of cans this summer. Two Hearted cans, too. Now if only Victory would can Prima Pils and sell that in 12 packs. And I'll always have shelf stouts and porters from Founders, Bells, Great Lakes, Anchor, SN, and Deschutes in my fridge.

 

I'm a drink fresh, drink local kind of guy. Not quite understanding the term, shelf? Don't all the beers sit on a shelf in the store? For those of you outside of MA, we have Jacks Abby here, good fresh, local lagers. Wormtown, Wachusett, Harpoon, Ipswich, CBC, Smutty, Trinity, among many others as well. I walk into the store and buy them, doesn't everybody?

 

Shelf beer? Bah Humbug. I only buy from coolers.

Except that biff isn't a newbie. He is just a guy who posts troll threads all the time.

 

It may seem like he has been around forever, but he is a 6 month newbie according to his joined date.

 

I don't really drink shelf beers. I usually hit up breweries(Trillium or Night shift) for growlers. Basically the only shelf beers I drink are Jack's Abby stuff.

 

There are too many great shelf beers to worry about chasing whales and emptying my bank account.

 

You know what reading this thread has changed my mind.

I'm gonna stop playing any golf courses that don't at least charge $100/18 holes. Fuck it nothing but the best for me anymore. Shit I might as well stop going to those crappy driving ranges too. Those range balls a messing up my game!
