How often do you go to the beer store?

1-2x a week

honestly, i have to--it's an addiction.

roughly 3/4 of what i get goes into the basement to age/sit around for a while.

I stop by a couple times a week but don't always buy. I have over 100 bottles in the basement, and some should be consumed really soon. I'm afraid I have some IPAs over a year old. Hell, I even have a Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner from 2007. Wonder what that has turned into. I have better hopes for the barrel aged ones and the barleywines.

Bottom line is, my wife told me she doesn't think I should buy any more beer until I drink what I have in the basement. I said "So what you're saying is you want me to drink more." She said "That's not what I'm saying." To which I replied "But that's what I choose to hear."

 

Every Friday afternoon I try to make the rounds to three local liquor/bottle stores, and then stop at my favorite taproom for a beer and burger. I also stop once a week at the small-town liquor store a few blocks from my house. I have built up a bigger cellar than I should have, and had been buying more than I drank. Now I am showing constraint and chipping away at the cellar...

 

I don't buy huge amounts at a time, so I buy usually twice a week and in minimum amounts

 

Probably 1-3 times a month, just depends, sometimes once a week.

I have two stores I frequent, but I go to both on the same day. Does that count as once a week?

 

3 times a week most of the time. Bottle returns with a small purchase on Sunday and Wednesday, Thursday I go to my main beer store where I get hooked up with the limited stuff. If I am running low on new reviewing beers I will make a long drive down south to buy a case of singles and other things on a Saturday.

 

Averages out to once a week, or so.

 

I'm right on track with the OP.

 

I work all over the place so I like to check out what different bottle shops have so I go probably 4 - 5 times a week.

 

I go usually on Wednesday afternoon right after the new stuff is delivered. Otherwise I'll never get the new or limited releases. Get a mix six for me and the wife get's herself a mix six and maybe we grab a more expensive bomber or something to split with dinner that night. Then usually a Bissel Brothers/Foundation/Austin Street trip on Friday once a month.

 

Used to be at least once a week, but I've moved to every other week these days. I'm much more content buying a 6- or 12-pack of something and skipping the "big releases."

 

Every day but Monday, my only day off.

 

I would say once a week, if something comes up I will run out for more but usually this works.
