I find myself reading a lot of reviews on new beers, I like the reviews with some detail, I just don't want a damn dissertation. Most of the time I'm reading it on my phone

Sometimes I go to the review section itself. I actually rely more on the What Beer Are You Drinking Now? and New Beer Sunday communities for inspiration and information. Some might say that leads to partially being influenced by hype. I say not so much. Opinions are many and various; those threads give me a filter of sorts. Bottom line is; I will always give in to my curiosity and love of better beers .... and not so better beer.

I often read them after I review a beer, I try not to before hand, its always interesting to see what others get from the same bottle.

I read a lot of reviews and more than often, they guide me after the right bottles.

I tend to read reviews when I'm deciding whether to pull the trigger on say a $10 bomber of something more expensive.

Unfortunately most people's opinions mean nothing to mean. I glance at the top couple reviews if im undecided but if ten people dislike a beer maybe I want to see if I can be the eleventh.

I generally read the overall and taste portions of reviews if I am deciding whether or not to try a bomber or a new brewery. I will also read the first page of reviews after I try a beer if I am either really excited or disappointed by it.

I like reading reviews, and I like to see what others think about what they are drinking. Many reviews are for beers I've not yet had and I appreciate the many thoughtful reviews others have submitted/shared with the community as a whole...

I read reviews everyday. Truth. I consider myself a novice compared to most on this site. My area is getting way better for craft beer and I look to this site for help on good beer. Thanks BA's.

i read them when i'm done reviewing a beer, just to see how my opinion of it differs from other people. honestly i like average rating, that is usually what i look at when i'm shopping. the reviews are just for clarification, especially when 2 different beers have similar ratings.

It was very important for me in the beginning, as I had no idea what the eff I was doing. While I may have only advanced myself a slight degree beyond that, I still find them relevant when comparing opinions, appreciating others' writing styles, and deciding on certain purchases.

I'll look through all the reviews if the beer hasn't been rated much. I trust the written stuff more than the ticks. For popular beers I think the overall rating is a solid judge more than reading two or three reviews.

I do read them on occasion, especially if I'm at a beer store or bar/brewery trying something for the first time..I like to give the reviews of a particular beer a quick glance over so I know what to expect

Any time I'm trying something I've never had, I turn to the reviews of 3 or 4 BAs in particular who I trust to be thorough and detailed in their descriptions and overall assessment of the beer I'm interested in. Hasn't failed me yet.

Wasn't really paying attention to most of them since I don't really let one's reviews encourage or discourage me from trying a beer. But after that thread where you see funny reviews....I've been reading them more often because I always like a good laugh.

Not very often. Usually just the recent ones when I click ' beers '. Always take them with a grain of salt and come to your own judgement. I've seen highly acclaimed brews that I ended up not caring for, and beers I randomly pulled off a shelf turning out to be fantastic despite receiving low scores on here.

I find them helpful, especially reviews from BAs for which I have a level of respect. I also look for reviews from BAs that have the same preference for styles as I do. I pretty much pass by reviews from people who write that a pilsner wasn't hoppy enough for them.
Oh, and I pretty much steer clear of any beer from a brewery mentioned on a "most over rated brewery" thread.

If I am looking for something new and I don't know what its like from word of mouth or whatever, I always see what you guys have to say about it. I can usually glean what I need to by stringing together a few reviews.
