How often do you shop for beer?

How many days are in a week? 7! That's my answer!

 

I don't even shop for beer anymore. The beer shops for me.

 

If trading counts...too often.

Well, since I work in a brewery, you could almost say I "shop" for exceptional batches of product (most of it is pretty similar, but every once in a while there's a batch that just plain old tastes better to me) whenever I do sensory testing. Technicality aside, I usually head to the local distributors/bottle shops once every few weeks (more often if there's a release I'm really looking forward to).

 

I order online a lot so at most I'll buy twice a month. I'll stop at a local store if there's a new release, but I go out to great craft beer bars more than drink at home.

Does browsing new arrivals and growler options on store's website and checking multiple facebook pages to look for new events or arrivals count as shopping? That can be daily some weeks, but certainly don't actually buy beer more then once or twice a week at most .... can be any day, but Fri/Sat probably most common as normally only drink on weekends or vacation

 

I seldom drink beer at home. I live in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and the beer here is almost always at LEAST 3 months old on the shelves. Fortunately the local craft beer scene is adding multiple (some quite decent) breweries which I have been frequenting often.
I did get some Celebration which broke the 3 month old rule.
About once a month I buy beer to take home for the fridge.
Dare I say I'm given to the consumption of wine (lots of it) at home which softens my tears over old beer.

 

I went with once a week, sometimes once a month, depending on how often i frequent my local brewpubs and or beerbar

 

For me, the multiple times a week is actually two times a week. I drink a lot go hoppy beer so I don't want to stock up monthly. Because obviously, the flavor will dwindle down.

Unless there is a new release, I tend to only go beer shopping once a month these days. Used to be once a week, then every two weeks on average. I wonder if it will get to once a year?

 

Generally once every two weeks, just pop in to see if anything new/seasonal/limited release has hit distro. I don't always buy a bottle - sometimes I just go to see the turnover in inventory and get an idea of what beers have been moving off the shelves quickly and what selections have been re-stocked.

 

Voted for multiple times a week.

I'll pick a place to stop on the way home from work one or two times a week to shop for a sixer. Extra beers from said six packs will be consumed over the weekend or if guests come over.

Weekends will often include a trip to look for something really fun.

 

Once a month for general beer shopping to "stock up" but sometimes several times a week to grab a bottle of something special or limited that the local places put on IG.

Whenever I'm out of the house and I'm anywhere close to a place that sells beer and has an ok selection I'll probably check it out. And I'm out pretty often...
