Just wondering how often some of you guys trade. I just got into it and it's very addicting, but also expensive. It's difficult not to jump on every trade that you have the beer for or the beer you want.

Just got into it a couple months ago. And yes, it is very addicting. I would do it more, but I have the wife to reel me in and keep it from getting out of control.

Anywhere from 1-3 times a month. If I start to go over that amount, I stop reading the trade forums.

A few years ago it was an every week thing. Now It's like an every other month thing if that. Too much good beer around that isn't hard to get.

Used to every couple of weeks, now it's more of every couple months. Eventually you just get tired of packaging and paying shipping unless it's for a big enough trade to make it worth your while.

At first you go crazy, and have a ball. Then, one day, you find 40 shipping labels bunched together in your center console and starts reading the receipts...

Less than once a month. Don't have much to trade and don't ship so...once and awhile.

Im also new and was blasting those out as I was working off 5 cases of beer I brought from NV to FL when I moved, I traded out some stuff I have already had and folks wanted in order to get mainly stouts that way I can sit on them and enjoy great beer anytime I want. Now that what I have is rare but no one seems to want it I will slow down until releases come out and I can get new stuff. I really want to so shelf stuff for shelf stuff it seams one end values their beer more then what I have here

It's like getting a tattoo, after the first one it becomes addicting. After my first trade I wanted to trade every day but settled down and now casually look at the Trading Pages to see if I can use beer I can obtain around here to put together a trade.

I think a lot of people fall into same pattern. They start, get hooked, trade like crazy then start tapering off. I fit this category, but some new local breweries who make awesome beer now have me going right to brewery for the beer I love, lessened my need to trade.

For me it goes in waves. It seems I will usually have 2-3 trades over a couple weeks but then won't trade for several months after. Also depends on beer releases/travel to pick up some good trade ammo.

I actually started off pretty slow in the beginning. I was in this site for more than 5 years before I started trading, though, I still read the trade forums for an endless source of entertainment.

I trade anytime I get my hands on anythng worth trading...I go to usually all the Allagash, MBC releases and occasionally go to VT to do the tour. On average I would say I probably send like 4 boxes or so a month but it's very addictive and it never seems like you know enough haha. Thrilled to have met the people I've traded with and tried the beers I've had the opportunity to through trading!

Don't trade a whole lot off the trade forums anymore but send a ton of boxes to absolutely great guys I met through that forum and have become friends with. It's not really trading anymore as I just send them stuff I have and they send stuff they get, with no negotiation or anything like that, just sharing great beer! Other than that, less than a trade a month.

Once you have a group of regular trading partners, you find it less appealing to seek out new people who are interested in winning trades. Not chasing hyped stuff will finally reduce activity to a slow drip. I don't miss it either to be honest.

I usually only trade when someone I know wants something from my area, or I want something from someone I know's area. With about 40+ unique trading partners, I've probably whittled it down to about 10-12 I trade with regularly.

I find i trade in spurts. I'll trade a bunch within a 1 month period and then not trade anything for like 4 months. And then it repeats. I constantly look at the trade forum but I post rarely, so that probably factors in. But i'm starting to develop some closer trade relationships so that will probably make me trade more often, which i'm not complaining!

Once or twice a month now, but I think my record was 35 in 30 days.
