    20-30 minutes on average

Do you notice this as markedly improved?
    (haven't had it yet)

Depends on the taste, how dangerous a brew- I will stop flapping my gums and just say the other day I drank a La Fin Du monde(12 ounce bottle which had been cellared for over a year and a Victory Weizenback(12 ou. bottle) which I had not had in I don't know how long in maybe 5 minutes -they were both ice cold and unbelievably delicious-don't have to figure out that I was stuck at home in my recliner for more than a while.

I mainline BCBS directly into my veins and then promptly die of alcohol poisoning after railing a 1/6bbl

I tend to drink the first 12 to 16 ounces in a bar without food accompaniment in 10 to 15 minutes.
I tend to drink the first serving of a similar amount with food in 15 to 30 minutes.
At home, the first 12 to 16 ounces can take between 20 and 60 minutes, depending.

Second and third servings tend to take double to triple the time to consume.

I try (and often fail) to drink an equivalent amount of water in between servings.

My first beer always goes down fast (15-20 minutes). I slow gradually after that.

Anywhere from 2 minuets to 2 hours, varies widely depending on location, beer, and my mood.

Beers like stouts, porters, barleywines and DIPA's take me about a 1/2hr - 45min to drink. Lighter bodied beers I usually drink in 15-30min

For me, the better the beer the longer it takes. When I'm paying craft prices I want to enjoy it for as long as possible. I only down beers fast when they are cheap and lacking flavor. Or if they are free. A guy at a bar once offered to buy me a 90 minute dogfish if I chugged it, so of course I did.

Environmental factors also affect my drinking speed. If I'm doing nothing else while drinking or if I'm in a party atmosphere, a beer can go down in five to ten minutes . But if I crack a beer while doing some work or while engrossed in a show, it's not uncommon for one beer to last over an hour.

I agree, need to enjoy the beer. If its a guzzler its probably not something I want again. Boring

I try to sip and savor, but I find I usually drink tasty beers way too quickly. Its just so good when it hits your lips!

I find with Lagers - and I don't mean the Macro cr_p; I mean the good stuff, like Augustiner Brau Helles - I tend to guzzle, especially in the late afternoon on a hot day. There is nothing as refreshing, and it goes down and QUICKLY. I was in Munich this Summer and I surprised my waiters at Augustiner Haus by how quickly they had to refill my two-liter Stein. Wow was that stuff good. But I like to sip, enjoy, and nurse my stouts. So the style of beer is all important here.

After work today, it took me about an hour an fifteen minutes to drink a 22-oz Stone Enjoy By 10.31.14, in all fairness, I was doing a bunch of stuff around the house while I was drinking

More than anything it depends on what number of the night I'm on. I tend to drink my first pretty quickly then slow down on the next few regardless of style, mood, etc.
