How to age beers?

    I was told by a package store owner to make sure i lay the beers on their side if i age them because they will settle is this true?

    After he said those words, did you look at him confused and ask "What the hell do you mean by that?"

    They will settle might be the most vague description of beer aging ever.

    IMO no, you shouldn't age been on its side. Also IMO, anyone who thinks it's critical ("make sure") that you store them a certain way has already told you he knows little about aging beer. Either way it's just not a big deal what you do.

    Like i said bro, everyone i know that ages beer stores them standing up, beer is not like wine, you lay wine down to keep the cork wet, most beers dont have a cork so there is no point

    Fill up a box. Tape box shut. Forget about box. Buy more beer. Repeat.

    Go on with your life as if nothing happened.
