In the tower, I selected to have 1/4" screw on fittings for MFL
I called to double check, the faucet has a 1/4inch barb on an elbow.

Not quite following this, your faucet tailpiece is normally a barb and this is a good combo, you can heat/shrink your 3/16" beer line to a 1/4" barb and no clamp required. A little tricky to replace, but should work well. If you intend to switch out lines regularly you might even consider an extra tail piece. If you make your beer line to QD a MFL/swivel nut connection then you'll have an easy time disconnecting one end of the line.

This is the Gas line I found

From photo and description the QD is MFL and the hose is connected via swivel nut . . . again, good combo and the pic shows an Oetiker clamp which will bring a smile to a certain member of this Forum . On the end of this line you will either attach directly to gas shutoff valve barb (heat/shrink/clamp) or if the shutoff is a MFL (my choice) you will need another 5/16" swivel nut/clamp (only a buck or two). Having gas MFLs are slight overkill, but minimal expense and near zero aggravation when a line is removed.

To keep from paying extra shipping it may pay to order an extra 1/4" and 5/16" swivel nut for just in case.

The fitting coming off the gas regulator is barb, not MFL. And I'm cool with that. I see why you would like the MFL though. This is what's available to me now, and it fits my needs. I will heed your advice about getting extra swivel nuts.

As far as the faucet / tower / beer line combo goes, The elbow coming off the shank does indeed fit the 3/16" line and comes clamped. The option I selected for the 1/4" adapter on the keg side beer hose is indeed a 1/4" swivel nut for the MFL QD. I think I'm squared away here.

Took the plunge last night. Other than adding swivel nuts, washers, keg lube, and PBW, I saw they had just put brand new cornys on sale for $75. So I got a new one. So if anyone is in the market for a corny,... I suggest hitting up homebrewing.org especially if you live in a small town and craigslist is not helpful.
