Anyone have any ideas on how to start trading? I usually don't keep beers in the house to not drink them but can get mostly anything that gets delivered to CT & MA. There are a ton of beers I'd like to try not delivered to my area but just don't know what others want. Should I just put the beers I want on my profile page and hope someone gets a hold of me, or should I seek out the ones I want and see what they would want in return? Also, is there a way to determine who is a credible trading partner? Any help would be great.

You're in CT. I'm in CA. We could probably work something out.

Wait... You don't hoard beer? You will not fit in here.

Would recommend going locals for locals with someone on your opposite coast. Develop a few relationships and get a few trades under your belt before trying to land the "whale" beers that seem to overrun this site. My 2 cents...

Definitely fill out your wants and gots as well. This helps when trading as people know what beers your looking for and certain styles your gravitate towards. Having the gots updated lets people know what you specifically have access to and can keep (hopefully if your partner does some research) your trading partner from sending beers you can get off the shelf by you.
