If you are growing your hops and in new england, how are your hops doing and where abouts are ya? My cascades are doing decent, still getting bigger and i'm in Western Mass. I know picking season should be around the end of the month. Just want to make sure i dont miss the optimum time frame.

First year Centennial and Cascades: the Centennial cones are coming right along and probably ready to harvest in two to three weeks or so. The Cascades seem to be about a week behind for some reason. I'm in northwestern CT, and they took a while to get shoots up out of the ground. But being first years, I'm pretty happy with their growth.

My 2nd year cascade are killing it this year. Much bigger cones and bountiful. They're starting to get a little more papery and the pollen/resin is coming out. I just brewed an all cascade pale ale so I'm hoping I won't need to harvest for another week so I can wet hop.

Coastal Massachusetts reporting in. Planted four varieties this spring. Had an accident with a weed wacker :slight_frown:
Three survived. Going to order more for next year. Which vanities and where should I buy my bines?

I'm thinking its only a couple weeks as well. I need to get some ingredients in stock so I'm ready for harvest.

I just planted some Sorachi Ace and Saaz rhizomes in May. They still seem to be establishing themselves. They may not have enough sun, who knows. Don't think I'll see much in the way of cones this year.

yeah, i planted a columbus and a chinook in May timeframe as well. They grew up some but its more of a establishing roots year. I dont see any cones coming from those too.

Everything is going well on my end... 3yo Centennials are right around the corner maybe another week or 2. This seems to be the same time every year for the Centennial. 3yo Cascade and 3yo Nuggets are about 2-3 weeks behind. Nugget might be a little more... The Nugget seems to be a slower grow this year compared to last.

3yo Nuggets just north of Boston. Cones are just starting to form, but my vine isn't quite in full sun. The last 2 years I have harvested in September and that looks to be the same this year.
