I've seen Hubbard's Cave Vanilla Stout pop up at a few locations. Anyone have any insight on it??

9.7% imperial stout with vanilla brewed at Une Annee but Hubbard's Cave appears to be another brewery, likely a small operation that could be contract brewing there.

Hubbard's cave is a side project from the brewmaster at, Une Annee. He self distros this himself & is a very cool guy.

My buddy picked up a bottle of this last weekend, here in Mi, and I enjoyed it. I'm normally not a fan a vanilla but it wasn't overpowering the base beer so it worked for me.

I've seen both the Coffee and the Vanilla available in West Michigan. While I haven't tried the Vanilla, I can say that the Coffee was rather enjoyable. For the $10-12 a bottle IIRC, I thought it was worth the price.

This is the only thread I found in my search of Hubbard's Cave, but I'm really enjoying these fresh IIPA releases. I picked up v2 last month and v3 this afternoon, bottled 6/20. Another strong IPA to the Chicago mix.

I've been very curious about the Fresh line, and will probably grab the next one out.

I've enjoyed everything I've had from them, and usually buy a bomber when I drive through Chicago.

I agree completely. One of my new go to IPAs when I stop into the Open Bottle. Surprised this beer doesn't have more buzz yet but I imagine many people just don't know about it yet.

V3 that came out on 6/20 is a little turbid. That should do the trick.

Seriously though, they are really good and while I have no specific HC knowledge, the lady at the bottle shop where I buy mine told me that V3 might be the last one we'll see for a little while.

HC is going back to V1 after this recent release because of the hops that they have access to. I'd assume it'll be released within the next couple months.

Good info. I missed V1 so I'll definitely keep my eye out.

Good info... V3 is the first I've had. It was solid, but the hop blend was not for me. Looking forward to more from them.

How big is there operation right now? How long have they been puttin out beer? Tried to google, didn't find a page for them.

Hubbard's cave is Jerry from Une année. He brews at Une Année along with; Mikerphone & maybe even Slapshot but I'm not to sure about them. HC has been around for a few months now. He's done a few stouts & so far 3 fresh IPA's. From what I understand, he got screwed over with his distro contract so that's why he started HC but I could be wrong.

Those Fresh IPAs are great. I'm late to the party but I'm glad I'm finally here. Had the V2 a few days ago and thought it was great, and I'm drinking V3 now and I think I like it even better.

I noticed maybe a case leftover at Binny's Grand around noon today. I already snagged 2 so I am all set. If this is anything like V2, I will be happy.
