death and co is great and well worth the wait time, just head to one of the bazillion nearby bars and have a drink while you wait! im trying to gauge how early im going to need to line up to be one of the first in...

    Smh.

I was gonna check that out but something told me it was going to be a mess. 50 people in line confirms.

The event was a mess for a bit, I think some people had to wait at the door because it filled up quickly. Took a while for me to get a beer, and it was uncomfortably packed.

Demiurge is on another level though

What happened to the special treats?

Was wondering that myself. To my knowledge there was only Demiurge, Emissary (also great), and the pilsner which I didn't try.

No idea. This is really the biggest reason why I went out there since I already have cans of this release. A bit of false advertisement there

The special treat was a demiurge mai-tai cocktail in the punchbowl at the end of the bar they were handing out for free

Must have somehow missed that; I was standing near the end of the bar. Oh well. I was hoping for Demiurge branded swag.

Around what time on Saturdays have they typically been selling out by?

Demiurge may be the best smelling beer I've ever had. Intense marzipan.

I've only been to two releases. Fauna and holoscene sold out sometime between 330 and 4. Glycerin sold out at around 2. The guava variant had an especially low yield. It was cut to 2 4pks pp at around 1.

the guava glycerin is amazing. something about that color alone gets me excited, like a pink starburst. great expression of guava compared to a *lot* of other sours out there. surprised how well the red currant works with it too, sorta rounds it out and gives it a clean finish

Will echo that the pink guava Glycerin is awesome (boysenberry not so far behind), but being released after Demiurge is like skating after Tony Hawk in a 90s vert contest.

Love demi, but it's such a uniquely flavored beer that I prefer to share it. Too much of too much for me to kill 16oz on the regular, especially with that level of sweetness and the lack of carb to balance it out.. Pink guava much easier to handle, and a better-conditioned beer.

I guess I'm in the minority since I actually preferred boysenberry. I thought Guava/Red Currant was a touch too sweet. I hope HVB brings some Demi to Sour'd tomorrow. Everyone keeps raving about it, so the FOMO is kinda strong.

That's gotta be at least a 4.5 on Untappd.
