Any good family friendly places to hit up for lunch now that Stock Up is closed? My wife and kid are joining me for a change weather permitting.

Not sure if you are looking for upscale or just a place to get some real solid food but Meyer’s Old Dutch Food and Such has really solid burgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. and is very resonably priced.

Kitchen Sink or Home Spun are both good spots.

Beacon Falls Cafe is also pretty good and right near the brewery.

Is there a sweet spot time to show up and grab cans with no to little wait?

For Apotheosis/Babylon, I showed up at 5PM and was in and out with no wait. I don't know if that's the new standard, but cans have been lasting for a lot longer than they used to. I'm aiming to get there around 1PM, but I'd probably go a bit later if there wasn't a snowstorm coming.

Going to be in town tomorrow into Saturday so I figured I would grab the release. Anything to do tomorrow night other than having a drink at HVB?

@birdonthewire Just up the road is Draught Industries. Only been once, but very good tap list. Likely to catch Equilibrium, Sloop, other NY beers, amongst other offerings.

On the other end of Main St. is Toto Santana's for tacos, burritos, etc. There are a lot of random stores, coffee shops, art galleries along the main drag. It's a small town, but It's been having a bit of a renaissance the last 5 year. HVB was smart to put their brewery there & they clearly have experienced great success.

Bottled sour dropping this weekend sounds fire. Bottles never seem to last, unfortunately.

Draught Industries is a good spot for food and beer but not so much for a kid if they are younger (only high top and bar seating).

Bottles lasted past 3PM. The place was a madhouse up until about 2:45 and then cleared out once the cans were gone.

Good release. Arrived at 8 and got full allotment. I always love my friends saying they don't want to hang out in Beacon for four hours. I got a damn haircut, lunch, shopped, and did the share for hour. Productive day. I thought that dropping the allotment to 2x4 from 6x4 at 201 was a little abrupt.

Both glycerin beers were delicious.. I wanted to try lullaby but I had to drive so a whiff was good enough. Smelled intense.

Damn, so they gave red a full allotment then just dropped it 1/3rd of that? I guess people were buying more full cases than they thought.

Never been to a release before yesterday and if was fun. Although it seemed like half the shops in Beacon were closed?

I am randomly going to be near HVB next Friday afternoon. Anyone know what to expect re take-home options? Will there be any cans, or will I be limited to just growlers? Do they have crowlers? Do they fill any growler that has the Surgeon General warning?

As far as I know, they only do pre-filled crowlers and not growler fills.

They have crowlers, but do not fill growlers. It's possible they may have 6 packs of the Pilsner (Feel No Way) as they release that periodically, but cans from the Friday or Saturday Sour/IPA releases barely ever last past Sunday.
