Hudson Valley Brewery (2020)

New York has everything opening in phases, 1-4.

Outdoor dining is phase 2, indoor is phase 3.

It's all determined by various metrics, so far NYC is phase 1, NYC adjacent/Buffalo/Albany are phase 2 and rural areas are phase 3.

I would guess by August everybody besides NYC will be phase 4, but who knows.

 

Capsule IV is one of the most amazing beers I had this year.

 

The DIPA? I opened it on day 1 and it had so much hop burn. I'll have to give it another try.

Bold question - does anyone have tips for when on Mondays they typically post for NY state delivery?

It's drinking a lot better now than on day 1.

Thursday and Friday 5-10.
Saturday and Sunday 12-10.

Going off of memory, so I might be slightly off. They're definitely closed M-W.

Awesome. I hope it's good. Their last few releases have been great. I took this week off of HVB since I've been kind of hoarding it haha.

 

I struggle what to call the stuff but man they have such complex flavors. Nice break from the hop bombs everywhere (which I love and am certainly not complaining about)

 

Any HVB fans out there who live on Long Island (Nassau)? Looking for some sharing partners

 

Is the taproom only open for cans to go at this point? Going to be heading home from a stay up north and was hoping to stop by. Cans are fine but draft would be pretty cool.

I wish HVB would put out more DIPAs. Pendant tastes really good. I only picked up a 4 pack, but I'll have to grab more next time I swing through Beacon.
