Agreed Mexican Cake was meh....now, Bourbon county coffee is probably the best bourbon coffee stout in excistence...if you don't like it then you don't like bourbon coffee stouts!

Heady topper, BCBS and pliney the elder (so far). All good beers, don't get me wrong, but not worth selling my first born for. I'm sure that in my beer drinking journey I'll come across many more over hyped brewskies: but I'll enjoy every minute of surprises and disappointments. CHEERS!

So you love 2 Hearted and everyone who does not is a BS hipster.

I really do not like 2 hearted. Maybe its that batches are not even and some are hoppy good and others taste like a so so ipa. I wont spend my money on this beer anymore. Bottles and cans, I have never had a good one even with a 2 week old one. Tap can be great or bad.

Im glad you know what others are thinking. Remind me who you are next time I meet you so I can walk away.

    Enjoy

Just came back from a trip to Philly where I tried two of the RR sours and two beers from HF for the first time. All four were a complete let down. I'm not ready to give up on either brewery but its definitely not looking promising right now.

P.S. I've had Pliny and Blind Pig and both were good but not worth the hype IMO.

No hate, but I have to know what you didn't like about Mornin Delight

Sip of sunshine is delicious, maybe you had a old one.

That depends on your definition of "old". They were 10 days old and I had 6 cans over two week time period.

The past two years of KBS have been terrible. Zero barrel, just a mediocre coffee stout. If you're basing your opinion on a '14 or '15 I agree.

Not bad, just a dissapointment. The nose is perfection. The mouthfeel, like other tgb stouts is thick and lovely. I just failed to get the complexities out of the taste that I was hoping for. To me it's way too heavy on the maple syrup. Like, basically all i could taste. Yes, I realize this was the point and why it is considered what it is. I guess when a beer is hyped that highly, it needs to be a homerun. A triple doesn't cut it. Assasin on the other hand, worth every penny.

That said, if you want to send me one, I'll gladly see if my opinion has changed!

I would love to send you one, but it would be a waste since it is a HUGE disappointment.

that is probably one of the best examples of an overhyped beer ever. They were pushing that a year before it was available (notice I didn't say ready)!

Definitely has to be caffe americano recently. Great reviews and huge expectations, it tasted like burnt coffee grounds with a sourish aftertaste

Based on my ratings compared to the overall, Stone Bu. I hated that beer.

Same for me. Tried twice, both fresh. Honestly, Dirt Wolf is probably better.
Duvel is the other. Tried on tap in Paris and in bottle in the USA. Just straight up dislike really. Just not a style I enjoy evidently.

I am spoiled. I know. I am disappointed with about 95% of all the IPAs that aren't Trillium, Treehouse or Hill Farmstead. Maybe closer to 99%.

Alpine releasing Keane Idea again not as good as it used to be and then re-releasing all of their Alpine beers in smaller bottles, marking up Nelson, and marginalizing the quality. Epic fail. Thanks Green Flash. You took a better brewery and turned into mediocrity.
