just got this email from Tom. I have been to a few of these events and they are fun. Enjoy Hey Campers, We are raising much needed funds for our dear friends in Sonoma County. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these beers (from 11:30AM until 5PM) will be donated to Natalies Cirluza's selected charity, the King Ridge Foundation. They assist families affected by the catastrophic fires that ravaged Sonoma County. The event is CASH ONLY because we don't want to have to pay the added cost of the credit card companies vig on those transactions. CASH also helps speed up service so you can get your beer quickly. This will be the WORLD DEBUT of our Lost Abbey 24 steps on draft; the PHILLY DEBUT of STiVO Pils, Bagby Sonoma Pride, Port Brewing's Grommet (Sonoma Pride iteration); plus more Exclusives such as Allagash Tom's Blend, New Belgium Falling Monk, and our LAST KEG OF Firestone Walker PNC. Oh yea, did I mention two kegs from Brasserie Cantillon? You do not want to miss this December 2nd Event! Our goal is to raise $10,000 in five hours, so please be generous and help us achieve our goal. We realize these prices are quite high, but we are donating 100% of this to the Charity. They really need your CASH. Check out this sick lineup... THE FOLLOWING ARE SERVED AS PINTS - $10 Firestone Walker/Russian River STiVO Pils (CA) PHILLY DEBUT of this Sonoma Pride one-off. blend of Matt’s Pivo Pils and Vinnie’s STS Pilsner recipes. Those are two of my favorite pilsners. Pivo’s Saphir hops and STS’s Aramis hops. I imagine this will be great. 6.2%abv Bagby Sonoma Pride (CA) PHILLY DEBUT of this American Ale brewed with pale malts and 7 hops. Jeff describes this as having a piney & floral aroma with a dry finish that is balanced but leans towards the hoppy side. Only 18 barrels made.. 7.5%abv Port Grommet (CA) PHILLY DEBUT of this Sonoma Pride iteration. American ale hopped with Citra, Denali, Mosaic, and Simcoe. When asked for a flavor profile, Tomme responded “tastes like delicious”. 7.5%abv Firestone Walker Bretta Weisse(CA) Inspired by Berliner Weisse, but aged in a huge oak foeder for 8 months. Tart with a hint of apricot and peach stones. 4.5%abv Russian River Damnation (CA) This is the new and improved version of Damnation. Vinnie felt it could be better. In his words “less banana, more apple/pear notes . More yeast-driven spiciness. Much drier than the original.” 7.5%abv Russian River Blind Pig (CA) Perhaps my favorite West Coast IPA. The perfect balance of malt and hops. Truly quaffable. Russian River Pliny The Elder (CA) The original Double IPA, made by mistake, natch. More hops balanced by bigger malt. Aromas of grapefruit and pine. 8%abv Tired Hands Prayer Group (PA) Oak-fermented lager bier. Brewed with Pilsner malt, raw white wheat, and a touch of fresh lemon juice. Hopped with Crystal and Hallertau Blanc. Fermented cool with house Lager yeast in a large oak foudre. Crisp, fluffy, and painfully simple. 4.3%abv THE FOLLOWING ARE SERVED IN 10oz GLASSES $10 Allagash Tom’s Blend (ME) EXCLUSIVE TO MONK’S. Another of Monk’s special 20th anniversary blends. This is a simple, yet elegant blend of barrel aged beers selected by Rob Tod, Felicia and Tom. The beers have integrated so well. It’s f’n amazing. Firestone Walker Agrestic Wild Ale(CA) Matt’s Double Barrel Ale aged in mostly French Oak for at least 8 months (some for 24 months). Notes of toasted oak with a touch of bitter lemon. Lots of tannins create a tongue shaving finish (that’s a good thing). The barrel’s microflora create a bit of funk. 6.6%abv Firestone Walker Helldorado (CA) Imperial Blonde, barrel aged Barleywine. Notes of vanilla and honey. Hops sneak in at the finish. 13.2%abv Highway Manor Mr. Strawberry (PA) Well-made sour ale with the addition of fresh strawberries. A blend of this beer aged in Tequila, bourbon and FW Union barrels. My very last keg of this gem that we brewed way back in 2013. Only 5 bars in the world ever served this rarity. The bottles have really aged super well and we hope this keg has, too. 13.6%abv Lost Abbey 24 Steps (CA) EXCLUSIVE TO MONK’S. & THE WORLD DEBUT OF THE KEG VERSION. A special blond sour ale blended by Tom, Tomme & Felicia to celebrate Monk’s 20th Anniversary. We are super proud of this blend. 6%abv Cantillon Gueuze (Belgium) An Oude Gueuze, meaning this is a blend of lambic aged in Oak Barrels for 3, 2 and 1 years. This is a classic gueuze with the requisite oak character, citrus notes and mild acidity. 5-6%abv Cantillon St. Lamvinus (Belgium) A two year old lambic which had Merlot graps from Bordeaux added to the secondary fermentor. This is an absolutely incredibly beer with an alluring hue and seductive finish. Just crazy good. 5-6%abv Port Brewing Bourbon Barrel Santa’s Little Helper 2015 (CA) Tomme’s award winning Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels. Big and chewy with notes of oak & vanilla.12%abv Russian River Consecration ‘16 (CA) A brown ale aged in a Cabernet Sauvignon barrel (Silver Oak) for six months. Fresh currants added. You get the beer, the barrel, the wine and the fruit. This is one easy drinking beer, but be careful, it weighs in at 10%abv. Russian River Supplication ‘16 (CA) ) Brown ale aged in french oak pinot noir barrels. Vinnie adds fresh sour cherries and three "wild" strains of yeast: brettanomyces, lactobacillus & pediococcus. A wonder blend of flavors and aromas: malt, oak, wine, cherries and subtle pineapple not from the brett. One of my all-time favorite beers. 7%abv Russian River Temptation ‘17 (CA) Blond ale aged in french oak chardonnay barrels for twelve months. Vinnie adds his house strain of brettanomyces that adds a sour component and a bit of fruitiness. Amazing! 7.5%abv We hope to see you here tomorrow!
