I picked up a 4-pack earlier this afternoon and drinking the first can right now. I get more berry than citrus in the aroma. Reminds me of the dry-hopped lager that Free Will brewed with Barbe Rouge hops last summer.

Their latest post about a new IPA being released, Single Axis: Simcoe, also speaks to their brewers spending time at Fidens to share their tips on brewing lagers and Fidens tips on brewing IPAs. It might be mostly marketing, but if it gets HR's IPAs even 5% closer to what Fidens has going on then I'm intrigued.

I read a lot of tepid reviews of HR IPAs, but I've really liked what I've had. I don't think they go overboard with extra-extra-extra dry hopping, and I appreciate the balance of what they put out. Not that it hurts for Fidens and HR to be rubbing elbows. I love hearing that.

I will be living in Pittsburgh starting in June. Does Human Robot distribute across the state or do I have to drive to one of their locations to get their products?

I don’t know if they officially distribute — but some shops in SEPA carry them anyhow. And you can occasionally find them on tap outside the brewery. Might be true for Pittsburgh? A locals thread or Untapped might be helpful for you.

They released cans of Sylt today that are can conditioned. I had this beer on draft last year and was a big fan of the dry finish.

What’s the parking situation like at any of the 3 Philadelphia locations? I’ll be in the area tomorrow and may try to stop in to one of them. Looks like I’ll be closest to the Schuylkill Banks location.

I've only been to the Kensington location. Never had a problem with street parking within a block or two. It's still a little beyond the edge of the gentrification spreading from Fishtown direction.

Thanks. I am very much not a city boy so this type of thing is always a little traumatic for me!

Me too, give me a nearby parking deck or establishment parking lot, but city street parallel parking causes enough stress I need a beer quickly. Don’t get me started on the new meters that only allow payments through an app. Coins or a CC swipe only please.

i mean, you punch in 4 numbers and you're done. and you can refill your meter from your barstool. i LOVE parking apps.

worry not though, you probably won't need to parallel park as its in an area that doesn't see as much traffic

Does anyone know if their 4th Anniversary Lager is still available anywhere? I would be interested in a trade if not.

I drank my last can more than a month ago. The last couple times I was at the Jenkintown location, it was definitely no longer in the to-go cooler.

Can release today of their collaboration with Fermentery Form.

    From social media post:

Form Table Lager - 3.65% - Rustic Table Lager - We started with the malt bill and hopping from @fermentery_form form to table farmhouse ale, but we snuck in a single decoction and our house lager yeast. Brewed mainly from Vienna malt with a little wheat, northern brewer and east kent goldings in the kettle, and dryhopped with a tasteful touch of styrian celeia. Balanced hopping and a mild minerality stand up well up to the vienna malt base, lending a full flavored beer with a nice dry finish at a mere 3.65% abv.

Purchased a couple 4 packs two weeks ago from Jenkintown.

It's pretty good, but apparently limited. I'd be surpised if they have left at that point. When I saw the original post on their stories it said they brewed it for Log Jammin and canned a limited amount.
