Well, that explains how, despite there being 2000+ people in line in front of me, I was able to move to the front without tickets selling out.

It didn't ask for the second name for me either. I'm not worried. Sounds like that part might need to be rectified via e-mail or something.

So what happens to us who ended up not being able to get tickets? Do they refund my hotel reservation? or am I just SOL?

You should be able to cancel your hotel reservation unless you did advance purchase.

That's up to the hotel, completely unrelated to cigar city.

sounds good, i'm on that page now. did you hit f5 then next each time? for me the "missing captcha field" doesn't appear until i click next each time.

I remember seing a post that said both tickets will be in the credit card holders name and that the +1 needs to be with the cc holder (named on the ticket) for entry. I could be wrong.

That presumably depends on the hotel and what their terms and conditions are for reservations. Didn't you check before booking a hotel for an event you weren't guaranteed a ticket to?

I know they don't do anything for a hotel reservation. I'm just pissed off I go through this line twice only to get shut out cause they used a shitty ticket website

FINALLY made it in! Got my two tickets to (beer) paradise. See you all in March!!

At first I had gotten through the line, but once that happened all the reloading in the world didn't help in Firefox; nothing but "Missing captcha fields" for days. Thankfully I spawned two additional new sessions: in Safari and, later, Chrome. After an agonizing 11 minute wait in Safari, I made it through that line and no captcha. Smooth transaction, once the damn site worked...

And yeah, at no point did it ask for names for each ticket. I guess maybe they will be transferable after all?

The need for breweries to feel like they're being 'anti-establishment' that keeps them from using real websites that don't break when a modicum of traffic comes their way is a fascinating occurrence.

The Festival of Barrel Aged Beer used Ticketmaster in 2014. I'd like to think they were pioneers, but then they went back to whatever a "Universe ticketing" is
