All Huna starts as Zhukov. Zhukov + Cinnamon, chilies, vanilla, cacao = Huna.

Zhukov aged in Barrels = BA Zhukov. BA Zhukov + cinnamon, chills, vanilla, cacao = BA Huna.

    I think they're all delicious but I'm a vicious homer..

I'll be there at huna day if there's a share that week!

I'm glad you spelled that out because I was going to if you hadn't!

It's more of a matter of how many shares there will be ...

@mgr78704, you need to jump on @TampaRainman's offer if you haven't already!

It may or may not have already been discussed, but what does everyone recommend to carry my Huna bottles in during the festival since large coolers are not allowed? My wife and I will both be getting 8 bottles each totaling 16 bottles and it's going to be a real ***** carrying all that shit around and trying to enjoy the festival. I thought about waiting until the end, like 30 minutes to an hour before it ends but don't want to get shut out of my bottles. We're driving specifically so I don't have to ship all of the bottles or take them on a plane so I would be most unhappy if I wasn't able to pick our bottles up.

CCB isn't allowing bottles in the park (no glass at all). So you'll have to pick up your bottles on your way out. They're being held at a hotel a short walk from the park.

They're letting folks back into the festival with their wristbands so you don't have to pick the bottles up only on your way out; however, it is true that glass isn't allowed in the park.

I may ask my girlfriend to meet me at the Marriott at 2 pm so I can throw my bottles in her car then. (I know that's near-sacrilege to consider missing 10 minutes of beer-drinking ...) That way, I can just hop in the car and go when the day officially ends at 4 pm (the pickup line won't be a free-for-all but it could be quite long). Those staying at the Marriott Waterside or Embassy Suites could grab bottles, throw 'em in their rooms and head on back to the park.

The good news -- and important takeaway -- is that no one will be "shut out" of their bottles. I'm guessing, @mtp81, that y'all will get a case box (12 bottles) and a bag (four bottles) when you present your wrist band. They had the handout line down cold last year. Cheers!

This...depending on where you live, checking the shipper is the same place as shipping via UPS/FedEx and you get it that day with little worry.

That gal is a keeper. You might want to consider her for upgrading from girlfriend status. My wife is coming with me, but has no ticket. She will keep the beer in her wheeled shopping bag while I sip. I may toss her a taco or something over the fence. Can you image, she actually is demanding a Hunahpu t-shirt and a bar of soap. The nerve! God, I love that woman!

I'll second that! My girlfriend actually convinced me to buy tickets and fly to Tampa from Dallas so we could attend Huna Day together.

I think you're agreeing with me (place vs price was throwing me off for a while). I meant to check it as checked luggage really in both directions. Which is more/less feasible depending on whether you get a free checked bag or two based on the amount you fly or what credit card you may have. If not, then yeah you can pick up a shipper in Tampa and bring it back with you and it may not be much more expensive than shipping, though you do have to worry about finding a shipper.

I also bring one down and throw a couple bottles in for bottle shares while I'm there

I might check this out - no problems with bottles breaking when you check it? Looks like it might need some packing peanuts as well to keep the bottles from moving.

I use two of these when traveling. Has a 12 styro shipper inside so really no way anything can break.

For what it's worth, we used these on our trip to Belgium this fall and had no problems with transport, breakage, or storage on both trains and planes. Highly recommend!

As others have eluded to, but I don't think anyone has come out and said... You can literally check a twelve bottle styro-shipper. I've done it 6-7 times. If you are flying a major carrier, it's essentially, $25 for same day service. Cheaper that any mailing service you will find, and you can re-use the shipper over and over. Well worth the investment.

EDIT: One thought I forgot... Be sure to tape the entire box. While ramp agents at the airport do a very good job of getting your luggage on a covered cart, the luggage can still be exposed to precipitation for brief periods of time. One layer of packing tape is great security to keep the cardboard from getting exposed, and makes the box last much longer.

I've looked at those before, and considered it, but I often travel with two (or even three occasionally) boxes and the winecheck bags are expensive for that and difficult to use multiple at one time. I picked up a collapsible luggage cart that does the truck for two boxes well and not poorly for three boxes.
