Ahh damn, so the king was King Sue and not a reference to a "whale"... like KBBS

CCB's Twitter referenced the Whale to end all whales. Wonder what that'll be

There is some part of me that hopes it's a giant inflatable whale slide or an Urban Cowboy bucking-bronc ride that's a whale instead of a horse. Just to leave the Whalez Fanboys -- "Ima get the Whale to End All Whalez today. I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait." -- with proverbial blue balls when they see it. If only because I know there is a subset for whom the entire festival would be a bust if they didn't get That Beer. The giddy gloating would turn into petulant pouting in a nanosecond: "Man, I don't even care anymore about the hundreds of other world-class beers I could be drinking right now because they promised -- they PROMISED -- the Whale to End All Whalez would be here."

Can it really be a giant whale slide? I imagine there going to need a lot of saw dust for the people who have had one too many

Not sure if this was directed at me or not, but I'm in no way going to the festival only to seek whales. I've never been to Huna day before so I'm really excited to get to experience it. I'm most excited to try the new, every day beers that will be at the fest. With that said, if there's a chance to have rarer beers there and get to try them, I'm all for it. Not having them would, in no way, ruin the fest for me.

Great, now if it isn't a giant inflatable whale slide I'm gonna be let down. Way to raise my expectations.

No bottle shares. Meh. So the tap list needs to rock.

shares are great and will happen all week...but if i am paying money to go to a fest, and there are tons of beer that i wanna try, having a bottle share seems a little over the top IMO. the tap list isn't even finalized and there are probably 40 beers i am gonna target to try...doing a share would prevent that. with the quantity of high caliber beers pouring at Huna day, i just don't see why a share would be necessary.

I get it. Just wish it was the way it used to be back in the day. Anyway, I will stop with my whine cuz like you say, there will be many tasty beers there. Anybody know if 3 Sons is coming back this year? Didn't see them on the list of beers but they are listed under Breweries.

The Kopi Luwak Summation was my favorite beer at last years Huna Day. Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with Kopi Luwak coffee and vanilla beans. Frickin incredible stuff.
