Just added a link to my full cellar list to the SS and a couple things I am looking for. Open to almost anything I haven't tried, but I always try to keep rarity and $4$ inline as much as possible.

 

Very jealous of all of you who will be trading and sharing some sure-to-be fine, fine brews.

Why don't I get in on this, you ask?

Good question...mostly because 1) I just don't have the caliber of beers that I'm guessing most want, and 2) I've tied my Hunahpu Day weekend to a business trip earlier that week and flying down there with a bunch of beers has me scratching my head over the logistics.

 

entirely up to you mark, but if you want you can ship the beers to my house and i'll gladly meet u pto give them to you friday night...or you could ship them to soemone else you may have a trade history with to be safe but i am not about to get a bad rap for a few beers lol. send me a BM if interested.

 

that's actually a great idea. and it now dawns on me that since I'm staying in a hotel...I could conceivably mail them there too, no? anyone have any success/horror stories doing something like that?

 

If you guys are flying, it's legal and probably safer just to check the beer as baggage. It's legal. I've done it safely. If you are driving, why ship?

 

It shouldn't be any different then shipping your luggage before you arrive, and I haven't had any problems with this on my extended family vacations.

 

I am flying, and thought about that too, since I have to bring a styro shipper anyway

 

Pack that shit...I brought back 18 bombers from Arizona split it between 2 suitcases with no problems. It will get inspected though so hopefully the TSA agent is a beer drinker

 

I ship boxes to myself at hotels all the time... Just check with your hotel beforehand and make sure they don't charge a 'package acceptance fee'. Most don't, especially those that deal with business travels on a regular basis. I once shipped a box of beer to the Gaylord resort in Nashville and they charged me like $30 to accept and hold the package for me. I've also shipped a box to the wrong freaking hotel in NOLA (forgot that I booked at a different hotel than my 'normal' place) and they were cool and held it for me, even called me when it was delivered so I could go pick it up.
