Hunahpu Day Trading Spreadsheet

I jumped in, will add more once I go through everything.

 

At work now, but looks like everyone and their mother is bringing some stout. I'll assess my luggage situation tonight and add to the list.

 

I wouldn't think anyone is bringing anything from that list unless there is an agreed upon trade before the event. It would not make much sense to lug beer around for a possible trade that day. Everyone at the event will be pretty busy drinking to have much luck in a random on the spot trade. At least I know I am not bringing the 600+ bottles from my cellar spreadsheet just to have for possible trades.

Setting up trades outside the ISO:FTforums is prohibited and links to user editable spreadsheets are generally frowned upon.

There are enough entries at this point that simply deleting it wouldn't be fair.

I'm going to ask Todd/Jason if these sort of threads will be allowed going forward and let you all know.

 

If you don't allow them could you help us come up with a creative solution for being able to set up IP trades for Hunaphu day? Posting everything in the IP trades forum as it is now would probably not allow us to set up trades centered around the event as effectively. We could post in the IP trade forum, but there would be tons of IP Huna ISO/FTs along with several IP non-Huna ISO/FTs. Solutions anyone?

 

This is a productive thread, though. Community is happening. Nothing is disruptive to the operation of the forum or mission of beeradvocate. I would submit that the rule be reconsidered. Rules for the sake of rules are not productive.

 

I too think it serves a good community purpose.

That's why I'm asking for the change instead of out and out deleting it.

We'll see what happens.

Just have folks BM you to be added to a convo, where there is a link to a spreadsheet and a private thread where everyone can converse. That would also resolve immature punks from attempting to destroy the spreadsheet like they tried with the bottle share one.

 

Immature punks would still probably go out of their way to get access.

Google Spreadsheet's revision history is usually good enough to not worry about trolls.

 

Very true, but at least you'd know it originated from someone in the convo, either themselves or distributing the link.

Not trading. I will be bottle sharing though starting whenever I get in line and ending whenever they kick us out. Last year, I think we had over 400 unique beers that were mostly rares and whales.

 

Oh, and i'll also be giving samples of my version of a Mexican Breakfast Stout in the style of Hunahpu. It's not quite right yet because I brewed it with too much vajiggle-jaggle and dry hopped it with a ketchup sketti multi-meal. You think i'm kidding, but if you see a dude with this on his rolling cooler, you found the....


I'm totally serious. It's a pretty good homage of a Hunahpu but there's some slightly different peppers and adjuncts on it to make it taste a little different than the real thing. Find me, share bottles with me and you better Redneckognize.
