They are also allowing you to call Vendini and upgrade to the 12 bottle VIP ticket if you want. It makes it easier if you have not registered your wristband yet. Was about a 5 minute call. I asked my rep how many tickets that were for sale she said 3500. So I think this year is still going to be about 4k people.

If you upgrade to the VIP 12 bottle does that get you the option of obtaining the Huna BA Cuvée in which the label was posted earlier in this thread? Haven’t seen any details regarding this special bottle.

Just wish they would post some kind of list. This is my first time going and it seemed like the previous years were better organized to this point

Yes if you upgrade to the 12 bottle it gives you the full VIP package. I can only assume the VIP was instituted to sell more tickets

Do you know if they're going to resend a new 12 bottle wrist band if you do this? How will the "VIP" area know you're a 12 bottle person if you're still wearing a 4 or an 8 bottle band?

I'm kind of wishing I could switch to 12, but logistically it doesn't work. I have the 12 bottle wine check and between Cycle, AC, and my 4 bottles I should have a pretty full luggage. Oh well, can't have them all.

The BA Cuvee has not been confirmed by CCB as part of the package, all we have is a label confirmation. I wouldn't assume you're guaranteed one with a 12 bottle ticket.

Correct, this is a very important point to keep in mind. I'm thinking about taking that gamble considering it's only $70 for at least 4 more bottles of regular Huna or 70 for 3 bottles and one BA bottle. Either way it's still a pretty good deal, plus other day of event perks that have been hinted at.

Yes they are sending me a new wristband. And Yes the cuvee is guranteed to be in the 12 bottles allotment. It says it right on the label.

I was going to post something similar to what @shand posted above. CCB has said nothing (at least AFAIK) about the Cuvée.

I think it's important to keep in mind that:
    1) The label I posted above is only that...an approved label. CCB (and most everyone else) gets labels approved for beers that for one reason or another they choose not to release, or not to bottle, or whatever.

    2) Even if they are bottling and releasing this particular beer and you take the label information at its face value, it is an ASSumption that every 12-bottle case will include a cuvée. It doesn't say that at all.

That said, I feel like it's a logical assumption to make that they will follow through with this. But I would not take it as a guaranteed perk of the VIP tickets.

They are at the mercy of the brewers. I know two people that are head brewers that will be pouring this year. Neither knew exactly what they were bringing as of a couple of weeks ago. It depended on whether certain batches were ready.

The last few years they added to the list whenever they got confirmation. By this time it was at least 80% full, didn't hit 100% until a day or two before.

This year they aren't even showing it yet for some reason.

This. We're less than three weeks to go; there's no excuse to not have some sort of list populated by now.

A bit late to this, but if you are referring to a list that was on the Huna Day app, I spoke to the developers of said app and they said Cigar City decided to not work with them anymore, so the list if any wont be on that app again.

Unless CCB retained the licence and handed it off to another company.

For those new to Huna day, or other Ccb functions, this is pretty standard for Ccb. They will get everything sorted out and overall there will be a beer list and what to bring video etc. But there is always some question as to what they are doing and why they haven’t figured stuff out yet. It’s clear that the 12 bottle VIP cuvée item was added late and could have been a bigger hit if advertised correctly and no one really knows what else the VIP tent offers other than shade.

In the end it will be fine, just not the ideal user experience leading up to the festival.

As far as ticket sales go,I think they are in a good spot and I believe the added gmf perk was more about gmf struggling to sell tix vs Huna day.

This year's Huna, a batch they barrel aged last year that they accidentally spilled all over the floor and the rest of the Raspberry Halo the stores sent back.
