I've heard the bottle count is up significantly (50%) this year.

 

Thanks for all of the replies. After talking it over with the Mrs., I have decided to get to CCB before 11 and snag a wristband as they open up before going back to St. Pete for my 12:00 appointment. Hell of a gas burn, but the thought of cracking open a whale to commemorate my son's birth come May is too awesome to ignore.

 

Jolly Guava was tapped at 5p in the tasting room and it was like a shark feeding frenzy. Crazy!

 

Ahhh... I got my times all mixed up. All I remember is waiting in front of the tap room for an hour for it... Still worth every second.

 

Definitely not going to camp out! I will get there probably at 10:30 like I did last year get everything I want and have a great time. I'm so damn excited I can't wait!

 

Maybe i missed it when i was reading through the thread, but does anyone have a rough idea of when they sold out of bottles last year?

Where did you hear this? I heard it was supposed to be higher but they had issues and it is going to be the same as last year. I would love if it was higher.

 

Last year some bottles were still available on Sunday. Late Saturday night you could buy as much as you wanted, no limits, and there still was some left the next day.

 

I believe it was at some point Sunday. It was definitely not Saturday but they might have lasted past Sunday.

 

Thanks for the quick follow up guys. It just so happens that the 10th is my birthday, can't wait to try Hunahpus for the first time. Any other "must try" beers while I am at CCB?

I showed up on Monday morning at 11:00 last year and bought 6 bottles. I heard what was left did not last past noon, though...

 

That's entirely possible. I heard it from someone who used to work at CCB. If there have been issues recently, then I wouldn't know.

Even still, if last year is any indication there will be plenty to go around. I know guys who left with cases of Huna on Saturday night, and there was still some on Sunday morning. I just don't see the need to feed the hype monster here.

 

Ummm I'll be there a little early to hopefully participate in a bottle share. But I hear you can't crack anything until you get in the gate?

rumors are fun.

there were no issues. in fact it went better than ever. the bottle count is almost completely the same as last year, as planned.

 

no growlers this year. however there's some pretty awesome guest taps that will make an appearance at certain times.

 

They said the same thing last year and still sold prefilled growlers of the Zuhkov treatments. We will know soon enough... should see a list out from CCB by Thursday or so.
