I am taking a road trip with family along I-90 through WI, MN, SD, WY, MT, ID, WA. Probably won't have time for too many breweries. Looking for bottle shops along I-90 and/or must have local beers I can get to go in cans, bottles, crowlers.

In Minnesota, the only town along 90 is Rochester. Stop at Forager for lunch and crowlers to go (if they are available). There is a Hy-Vee about 2 blocks away with a liquor store, which should have a good selection of locals.

There is a gas station and a liquor store right off 90 and 12 in the Dells that usually have good stuff......as mentioned above stop at Forager.

There's a small brewery in Blue Earth called Oswald Brewing, which is right off of I-90 in the central part of the state (but obviously very south).

    Enjoy your drive through Wisconsin!
Just kidding, you'll hate it. There's construction, and everyone is too wasted on cheddar brats to figure out that the left lane is for passing, not enjoying the "view."

A few miles East of La Crosse, WI be sure to stop at Woodman's in Onalaska, just North of I-90. I have not gotten there myself, but this supermarket chain reportedly has an excellent craft section. Be sure to get some brats and cheese to get you through Minnesota.

Thank you for all the suggestions so far. Are breweries like Toppling Goliath and Surly available at grocery stores or convenience stores along I90? Or are they brewery only?

Grocery stores and convenience stores can only sell 3.2 beer. Quite a few grocery stores have attached liquor stores. All liquor stores will carry Surly and most in SE Minnesota will carry TG.

Stop at any Woodmans in Wisconsin along I90 and they should have Surly (at least the LaCrosse/Onalaska one does) and I just made this trip (the MN through WI portion) and the Woodmans near Janesville had a bunch of TG Hopsmack.

Just looked that one up and it is right off of 90. Thanks.

The Onalaska Woodman's has had plenty of Topping Goliath in the past. It's possible they could be between deliveries now that TG has a distributor, but I'm sure something will be available. They'll also have Surly.

Anything else 'must have' from the Onalaska Woodmans? Surly and TG are just the two big ones I have heard of from this area.

Be sure to stop at Selkirk Abbey when passing through Post Falls, Idaho if the timing is right.

Do you know if there are any FB trading groups in the Spokane/Post Falls areas?

I don't know. Start a similar thread in the NW Forum and see what response you'll get.
As for Rochester being the only town on i-90 in Minn, largest with some great beer stores for sure but the Hy-Vee in Austin is next to the freeway and has a good selection.
