Driving from DC to New York in January; want to know if there are some quality brewery stops that I can make along the way. My window is small, so I'm looking to stay pretty close to I-95. Thanks.

If you opt for 295 rather than 95 through south jersey you pass spellbound, and I think its generally faster to avoid Philly. Haven't been but the beers I've tried are decent.

Depending on your day and time (if they are open), Kane in NJ would work. Not 5 minutes, but 15.

    Yes, to clarify, 195>I295>I95. Thanks.

If you stayed on 95 through Philly, you'd hit Iron Hill (Wilmington DE), 2SP (Aston PA), and Neshaminy Creek (Croydon PA).

Where in NY? A big state.

You may want to also consider bottle shops for growler fills of locals. Quick stops and may give you more options.

Vault Brewing in Yardley is about 3 minutes off of 95 at the PA/NJ border. They have awesome food and usually have a good IPA on tap as well.

Carton in North Jersey is about 1/2hr off the NJTP. Great beers if the timing of your trip works out. Their hours are odd, but worth the stop if you can work it in.

You could augment your route slightly and hit Victory on the way up. I've done this before, typically adds 30-45 min to the trip but you are also able to avoid some of the more congested parts of 95.
